South Wales and a bit of the Gower peninsula, mainly Cardiff, bits of Caerphilly and the Mumbles, plus a Dr Who skit (though shamefully makes no mention during a bit on Tommy Cooper).
SC's GDO
Going to the Isle of Man points up how Treasure Hunt was the same sort of show 40 years ago. Susan went to the Laxey Wheel, saw the statue of the Bee Gees, had a train trip, had a go in a Peel P50, and even got on an e-scooter.
The Listening Post
The end of Succession, inasmuch as its function as a Murdoch parable. Also, the tricky state of independent journalism in India.
The Sandman Ep 8 “Playing House” Season 1
The Idol - (Sky Atlantic)
A lot of noise about how bad this is. If nothing else, Lily Rose Depp is quite fit.
Salinger
A lengthy SA look at the famous American writer.
Superman and Lois Ep 10 “Collision Course” Season 3
Close to Vermeer
How a Dutch museum tried to bring together as many of the 37 paintings as they could for one special exhibition; many of the experts and some collectors helped. Shock near the end when two American experts claim one of the paintings isn't a Vermeer. The exhibition includes it anyway because their own experts disagree and think it IS genuinely one of his.
The Sandman Ep 9 “Collectors” Season 1.
YellowJackets - S1 & S2
I've now totally binged out and finished watching both seasons and I was really impressed with this series. I guess you could call it a cross between the movie 'Alive' and 'Lord of The Flies' and I would put in a bit of the TV series 'Lost' as a sort of comparison too.
The acting is great, loads of twists and turns and also it is a bit weird in places but I was genuinely entertained by the whole thing and I'm looking forward to season 3.
One of the shows on TV atm that's worth a look imo.
Barry Humphries at the BBC
Alex Jones (the Welsh one) comperes a round-up of spots from Dame Edna, Sir Les & thankfully Barry himself. I was amused his meeting with Rick Stein was included, probably one of his last appearances.
