Hamish
The story of some Scots poet called Hamish Henderson who was a Marxist and a bisexual and married some German woman, and fought at El Alamein, and so on. He got a letter from Thatcher offering an OBE, and he tore it up and flushed it down the loo. You get the general idea.
David Bowie-Finding Fame BBC2(still available on BBC iPlayer I think). I had no idea that he was influenced early in his career by Anthony Newley - mind you that also led to The Laughing Gnome-least said about that the better
A good documentary and rounds off nicely the trilogy of films made.
The Flash Ep 14 “Cause and XS” Season 5
Groundhog Day and never fuck about with the timeline lol.
Just finished watching the TV spinoff of Das Boot, very much enjoyed it, the whole thing is tense as fuck as can be imagined with a show set in Nazi occupied France, you expect the Gestapo to come through the door at any minute. The scenes that are not set in France are set inside a U Boat, 50 men all crammed into a narrow space with a Captain they are not entirely enamoured with.
Well acted and obviously well financed as it looks really good. German and French with English subs. Available to download with Sky On Demand
The Gifted s2 episode 14, had to wait 3 weeks for it but it turned out to be one of the best yet...
