^^^^^ Well it's been like that since that power cut last week & if it's a faulty lead then I'm pretty amazed they haven't discovered it yet !!!

What surprised me last night was that the better of the three streams was unused for the last hour & quarter after either Lori or Charlie finished her session at around 4:15 & at the time Becky was on 921. If they can manage to switch the girls around on the streams to fulfil their freeview channel then it's even more odd that they can't do it to suit their own website & get all three streams occupied in order to maximise revenue potential. So wouldn't it have made sense to move Becky to the set just vacated by the previous girl & get her generating income on both outputs. Once Becky finished her fourth session I thought perhaps that her final one would be on 965 (stream 3) in order to do just that. The stream then remained unused for the final half hour, whilst Becky finished her night off on 921 & Sophia & Caty were on 920 (stream 2) & Charlie saw the night out on the worst one of them all, stream 1.

Doesn't look like they're maximising their potential at all to me, & having one stream as poor as it currently is can't be helping that.

At least I've done some caps from my Sky recording, so I'm not bothered by not being able to cap Becky last night, more irritated by Elite's seeming inability to cater better for their subscribers/customers, both potential & existing.

Still, I expect it'll all be sorted Monday.

doesnt really matter to me i gave up on elites streams a long time ago... every other 1 i record will let me do so without having to stay on site or even have to click on continue the fact that you get better streaming as a member means nothing to me coz it still cuts off after 20 or so. so while there competition, and i mean there real competition gives that product away free and in unlimited quantity means elite is defiantly a looser in this field. maybe if they simplified it, got rid of the protection module and made it true free to air they would have less issues i know that sounds daft. but in my gaming experience of running servers. its often the applications that are used to monitor the servers performance tend to cause the most slowdown.

Ever thought the reason they don't really care about the stream is because not many people watch elite that way??

I very rarely watch Elite via the streams , Elite's streaming doesn't agree with my Internet set up , whenever i do try and watch Elite's webstream i get intermittent black block pixelations on screen while watching the live feed , i don't get this problem while viewing any of the other babe channel Webstreams apart from ChatGirl and that's the same .
In regards to not many people watching the Webstream , i think i saw a post someone made the other day giving the Webstream being down as a possible explanation as to why call volumes seemed to have been low when the stream went down , so if correct there could be quite a few calls coming from Webstream viewers .

I have notice that the live webstream has finally been fixed.
How long will it last this time. lol

If that was the case, then why did they feel the need to put protection on the streams. Jamie told me it was costing him a fortune because unautorised third party sites were streaming his transmission, and he was having to pay for the bandwidth used.

So I think Elite's stream must be a fairly popular way to watch.

yep the broadcast goes viral and any 1 can watch but i thought that was the idea. get as many to watch and get more calls.
if the channel is gonna run a web stream they must consider buying there own server coz hiring 1 to cope with demand isnt really money well spent. they could also consider a deal with internet tv distributer where there other site or app takes the strain. that way elite doesnt have to worry about bandwidth because its just streaming to its distributer. getting something streamed on a high profile app like iPlayer wouldnt hurt either.
get a high bandwidth isdn connection and cope with the demand rather than using what amounts to a home setup with 100MBps max or what ever they have now.

i cant see how jamie is saying he has spent a fortune, unless he got bad advice on what to buy. im not talking website development im talking about his streams only...

^^^ I said a similar thing to him. But he seems to think the sun shines out of Orca's backside, and said I was talking a load of shite. Hence the argument I had with him.

He's on about the expence of it, but when you try and save him money, he just doesn't seem to be able to see the wood for the tree's.

Elite's new web only show is awesome! Lori's on there at the moment - and she's not on TV.

First time I've seen this on Elite, great idea - and it's good to see that the rules as to what she can do are clearly far more relaxed than on TV!
