I guess the stream provider has satisfied the brief of preventing unauthorised access of the Elite Members Stream. In the process, the stream is now unusable for everyone.

Now that Orca have completely fucked up the stream, maybe they should return it to it's former setting (prior to security upgrade), before they start losing customers for Elite TV. Time is money.

I have seen very little if any of Elite TV & other babe channels since the changes first started. Thanks Orca. I did wonder at times how I could just stop watching altogether.

they were working earlier for about a hour fine, but now there a joke.

Things weren't much better from around 04:40 this morning, the dear little spinning circle only appeared 9 or 10 times, causing more refreshing of the screen on average every 6 or 7 minutes. The clearest part of the night for me was from around 02:30 to 03:40, I only encountered our spinning friend 3 or 4 times.

All in all a very frustrating night...Thank you Elite/Orca/whoever.

If there really is a cappers union here, I'd suggest to the shop steward "All out, we're on strike"

Maybe that's the master plan, piss everyone off so much that they stop posting. No caps and vids means no oops and suchlike ammunition that can potentially be used against them by OFCOM

I haven't capped anything since the stream change, the screen cappers are really not much use at the best of times, and I don't currently have a subscription, so by the time the stream has settled, you get maybe 30 seconds clear before it times out, really not worth the effort! I certainly won't be buying a subscription anytime soon until/unless this is resolved.

On screen boxes, useless web stream, poorly utilised freeview channel, what gives Elite, sort it out sharpish, the natives are restless, and are notoriously unforgiving about these kinds of things!

Well you all know that I sent an e-mail to both Elite & Orca digital, expressing our concerns & frustration at the current state of the webstream.

Both parties have responded, but I've fired back at them. Elites response was simple and basically echoing my questions to Orca, by simply saying "Will?". Meaning Elite want answers off Orca in regards this as well.

Orca's response, was to try and lay blame back in Elite's hands by questioning them about the bandwidth and new dedicated server. And then to give us their usual response of "We will monitor the streams".

So I have sent this back to Will at Orca, sending copies to Jamie and the technical crews as well.

"Sorry guys if this comes across as a bit confrontational. But I was under the assumption that Elite set-up the new dedicated server to your specifications. And they send the streams to you, for you to distribute the service. So why are you trying to pass the buck again?

You say your going to monitor the streams again. But you have supposedly been doing that for the last twelve months or more. And yet here we are, still having the same discussions, but still waiting for results. It would have been quicker to scrap what you have, and start from scratch, rather than try and trace the problems that seems to elude you.

I think the members have been waiting patiently quite long enough now. It's about time we saw some positive results."

Now lets see what their response to that is.

I am amazed at EliteTVs apparent lack of concern. I would have thought they would be on this forum doing some damage control and pacifying the masses.

Sounds like typical buck passing, all too common in these situations. I seem to recall 'another' channel did a similar 'not our fault' to and fro when their webstream was having teething issues.

Don't know about others, but for me stream 2 is the worse just lately, sometimes giving a completely blank screen. 1 and 3 are sometimes pausing and buffering, but not as bad as 2.

On a positive (ish) note, I have a linux system, and the flash plugin seems a bit flaky on there (well, more so than on windows!). With many tabs open in the browser, the plugin seems to crash quite easily, leaving the stream running without time-out. If you hit the right channel at the time, it's great

Again this morning I've had our spinning friend throughout trying to cap Sammi-Jo, however perhaps its having an effect (if small) on the calls coming in via the webstream numbers.

....were taken between 05:40 & 06:20, one thing plainly obvious is the lack of phone calls, Sammi finally took a call just after I'd got to my target of 30 caps, that lasted for 3 or 4 minutes at best, something similar to the length of time I've been getting before the spinning circle has been reappearing. Sammi has just taken another call as I type this @ 06:30.

Just an observation, but normally Sammi would have taken a call fairly soon after starting her shift, she's one of the girls that mostly takes a call a short while after starting her shift...infact just before taking my second to last cap I clearly saw Sammi say to the cam/producer "Where is everybody this morning" perhaps the answer lies in the fact that the stream is shite at present.

& that call's just ended too @ 06:36
