Sorry guys, but I was being sarcastic, and taking the piss.
Not being serious at all, hence the little laugh at the end.
i know m8, no harm no foul.
Well, I just sent Alan a weekly update on the webstream problems.
1. The 914 stream still locking up from time to time.
2. The picture in picture, or assets as Jamie likes to call them. I have asked if they can be removed from the webstream. Or at the very least, only used sparingly at the start of a new session. Not like now, with 914 stream where it's been on continuously for 4 hours, and still counting.
Hopefully I'll get a response within the next few days.
All the best
Ace.
Noticed that Stream 965 is locking up for me today (every 10 or so seconds). 914 seems to be running smoothly for a change.

Typical five minutes after i write that the streams seem to be getting more stable again
Yep, It's been one of those night's with regards to the stream.
And now to cap it all off, they go and put there
ASSETS up on channel 914 again.
Which only leaves us with channel 965, but since they have switched them round on the player, it's the one now locking up the worst, as the player seems to default to channel 965 on start-up now.
I'll be glad when Alan gets back into the office tomorrow. So hopefully he can sort this mess out.
But as for tonight, I can see I'm not going to get anything done. Time so see what the other webstreams are like tonight I think.
Update from Alan in regards the Assets.
Thanks for raising this.
At this point, it's not possible to remove the PIP as its done in the vision mixer which feeds both the television output and the web-stream. The same goes for the 3G advert and other video-based assets. The number overlays are done post-mix which is why they're easily removed from the web-stream.
We've discussed it this morning and it may be that the PIP duration could be reduced at some point, but cross promotion remains an important business requirement so its unlikely to be dropped completely. There is a proven value in television viewers being able to see who's on the other channel and, the longer it's on-screen, the more channel-hoppers will be able to see it.
So, bottom line is that. for the time-being, unfortunately we can't remove them from the web-stream.
Cheers for now
Alan
So it seems that it is impossible to get rid of them all together, but they may reduce the time they are on screen in the future.
Well, not the result we were looking for, but still an improvement.
He is still looking into the locking-up, so I will keep you posted, as and when I hear anything.
Ace.
Second update from Alan today with regards the tab situation, and default stream.
I'll get the lock-up investigated.
On the web, both streams are now set to be always active ... but the producers can nominate which one is the primary one, which will be the default on the website. Most of the time, that will be 965.
Well that's a result.
No more missing half a session because they forgot to turn the tab on anymore.
The second part would explain why the player starts off on the 965 stream now, as they now have that set to primary status.
Alan's on a roll, at this rate we may even have the third one fixed by the end of the day.
