Well, the website is totally broken right now (and has been since last evening)

No access to any stream except the one that loads with the page.

So, unless they sought out this mess today, you can forget about the webshows. Just like many potentially customers could not get on yesterday evening.
I wondered why there was only option two and not three separate streams as they have always had. Weird. And more so they haven't even put up the girls name on the stream!!
After my post above, I went out for an hour.

On my return, the issue was kinda fixed. But it seems they 'tweaked' the system when the day-webshows started and not for the better.

Example: If two streams show, yet you knew that a girl was on stream three (you could check that from the stream that this website gets), you can no longer click 'next' to go from stream two to stream three. It just goes to a girl's profile.

They still have not learnt the old addage "If it ain't broke you do not fix it"

It was not S66 that sorted it out but a malware scan. That revealed a shed load of un-invited guests one of which was a Proxy server.

Once I reset my proxy settings (I do not use a proxy), the 'Apps', as they call them, now appear.

where do i find my "proxy settings" DB83 ? i think i might have same problem as you Huh
Be aware that that worked for me may not work for you.

I used a small program called MiniToolbox to reset my proxy settings.

I would always recommend a full malware scan as you never know what aliens have joined your party.

But BEFORE you do any of this.......

On the main home page, if you can see any info above the green 'Tribute Boxes' - I had a totally black box with no info or telephone number - the issue is not a http proxy like I had.

If you have a rotating wheel below the video screen on the webshow window it means that the firestorm server is not responding to your system. Again, this is NOT a http proxy issue like I had.

Also bear in mind that, from home, in normal circumstances, you will not be using a http proxy. In IE you can go to Tools/Internet Options/Connections. If the settings button is not accessable then as far as IE is concerned there is no proxy.

That was the case with me. After the Malware scan I had a message that the proxy could not be accessed. That is when I ran the toolbox to reset the ports.
Well. The fun dcing webstream is back on stream 2 tonight.

Doesn't happen all day, then bam! Nightshows, lets screw around with some settings.

I swear this problem only happens with S66. And only on one channel all the time. Making me wish I hadn't given up my Skybox. Sad
No. It's a server issue. Go on to Rampant.tv and you will see that their 'unleashed' broadcasts are also stalling.

What makes it worse is that their site seems to have an aggressive reload which puts even more pressure on the streaming server.

Darn annoying tho I will agree. I do have a $ky box but still prefer the stream since it is free of all the additional junk.

While the Unleashed broadcast slightly stalls, they don't actually disconnect. I haven't had any problems with any of the BS streams. Usually only a glitch once and no issues.

S66 consistently has this same issue pop up, specifically on nightshows, and mainly on the weekends. I blame it is either the operator or the equipment.

If it was a server issue, I'd be much more reserved with my judgement, but this is almost 8 weeks in since this first appeared and it still pops up from time to time.
The coincidence of the '8 weeks' is when they changed their streams over.

Two webshows did not appear tonight and one this afternoon. Coincidence ?

Webshows that do run lose their connection frequently. Coincidence ?

A server is just a computer. Clogg that and it slows down. Bet your own PC has these issues from time to time. Mine does. So you close down an offending program or the entire PC and all is well again for some time.

If I were a betting person, I can imagine that sometime in the near future the server admins will reset that offending computer and all will be well again (until the next time). What is not being addressed is the reason for the failure. Unless they simply can not handle the extra traffic consistently.
^^^

Not really a coincidence, its is a result of moving their streams to the new server.

2 Webshows not happening, Technically, it was 3 not happening. Tara, Hanna and Mica. I consider missed webshows par for the weekend schedule. A pain, but they've done it so regularly, I expect less of them.

A server well maintained shouldn't have problems. I know the ones I run don't have issues till someone tries to run something not intended to be run on servers. It is either a lack of experience or bad equipment. Both are fixes that can be done with either a little training or replacing the faulty equipment.

Heck, a well maintained computer system shouldn't almost ever have issues or have minimal downtime. If you have problems on your own system, you lack knowledge about the limits of your system or you lack proper maintenance skills to prevent issues from popping up in you computer in the first place.

If you were a betting person, you might end up shirtless. Problems like this if they can't solve it is a couple of weeks or a month is going to be a long lasting problem. They've had 8 weeks to find and resolve it so it doesn't consistently disrupt a webstream that they have no issues running during the day, or the rest of the week.

My guess is someone using the server for purposes not intended for a server and disrupting the stream in doing so.
