Anyone else getting problems with the webstream 914?
The 914 stream is locking up for me. AGAIN

Yep, but I stopped watching it when the stupid asset box popped up again.

Well, I have just got word back from Jamie, with regards the asset box.

It would appear that Jamie has won the fight. He said the asset box will now be incorporated into the OSG, so it can continue to be used on Sky. But the good news is, it will no longer show up on the webstream.

It may take a little while, whilst they are incorporating it. But it should be done soon.

So a big thank you to Jamie for this one.

Let the clean capping commence.

Is this why I couldnt record 914 at the weekend? replay media player recorded 965 but didnt keep it because of it pausing all the time . 914 was recognised just wouldnt record.

No, the asset box has nothing to do with the streams stability. Elite's streams have always been a bit glitchy, when it comes to recording them with stream rippers such as Replay & WM Recorder. Screen Capture devices work better on Elites stream. Which is what I use most of the time.

While I am happy for you guys who watch/cap off the webstream that the asset box will be removed I have to say I am extremely disappointed to hear that it will continue on Sky.

Incorporating it into the OSG will make it no less of an unwanted distraction/pet hate than it currently is for me. The current OSGs are not what I would call hugely animated (yes I know the captions change but they don’t divert your eye away from the girl(s) performing on screen.) Having a motion graphic showing another girl moving around however most certainly does. It is also a massive irritation and turn-off if the girl who appears in the box happens to be someone you do not like and thus would not watch in the first place.

As a cap/video maker creating/editing/uploading a video is also more difficult and time consuming as the extra detail of the asset box causes me to have to increase the bit rate to produce a decent quality video. As someone who does not have a massive amount of spare time especially during the week this is obviously not ideal. I enjoy making videos of my favourite babes and uploading them to this forum and would hate to have to stop because of not having the time to do so.

I sympathise with you Pedro*. But at present, I think it's the best compromise Jamie could come up with, to keep both sides happy.

I too started off like you, only recording and posting video's off Sky. But I found it was far too time consuming, so I switched all my efforts into making the best quality I could from the webstream.

My hat goes off to all the guys that post Caps & Video footage from the Satellite. As I know from first hand experience, just how much time and effort goes into them.

I can only hope, that in the future, the need for it's use, will no longer be necessary to advertise the 965 channel. And it will only be used to advertise new content, or their Mobile services.

I don’t suppose Jamie told you how often the asset box would be used on Sky. Will it have a constant presence on screen or be used sporadically?
