I've just been informed by Jamie that they intend to change the first 3 streams to match stream four. This may improve the quality of the streams, but it may also render them un-recordable, if they copy the encryption used for stream four as well. If this happens, then it will effectively stop all webstream recording.

It would seem Elite have fallen for Orca's bullshit with regards to the encryption needed.
Thanks ace.

heres a question for those that record streams that ive been thinking about for a while now. when you record the streams, does your streamprogram bypass the timeout? ive been playing around with replaymediacatcher4 and the file always stops when the timeout occurs. ive searched for the question but all the babeshow questions lead back hereWink

It's been covered many times, but probably lost in the threads somewhere, but the simple answer is no.
Before they started tampering with the streams they could be 'downloaded' directly which meant no timeout, but the new security measures stopped that, which means you can only record now by 'recording' the stream which means you have to have the stream playing in the background, and the software records what is being played as it is played. This means when it times out, the recording stops and must be restarted.
