It has been freezing up a lot lately and never used to and the Elite TV streams used to be great quality but since the website has been updated it has encountered several problems bladewave
The iPhone stream has been fine today, no file not found message once
Errr 10 seconds on the stream and back 2 the file not found message
5 days on since Orca last messed with the stream and nothing has changed. The length of the stream playback on the various channels ranges from a few seconds to about 8 mins if ur lucky. Before the 5th May, the server and bandwidth were more then fine to play the stream uninterrupted.

The stream only has to be monitored for a few minutes by the provider to determine that there is a problem with it. Past working settings could be used to return the stream's stabillity. It wont happen though, as with every day that passes, the changed settings of the streams looks like a deliberate move.

If its a genuine mistake Bounce, then the streams playback has been changed. It is now behind the Sky broadcast and the player refreshes the stream to catch up with the as live feed.

Time to change the website text? We wouldn't want people complaining about false advertising.

If the stream provider cant fix the problem, then it's time to find a provider that can.
^^^^ Thanks Josh, Big Grin

I too have noticed that, But at least it's not as bad as the previous one, which said the members got access to an enhanced stream. When in fact there was no difference, other than the refresh time. laugh

As for the current problems, I have just had an e-mail off Jamie stating that there was a problem with the dedicated lines settings. And a mismatch within the coding that was causing conflicts. Colt has assured Jamie, that this has now been rectified and tested. So can we all just monitor the streams for the next few days to see if the refresh problem has been solved or not.

As for the rtmp problem, I'm still working on getting that resolved. But I have had no response from Orca on this one.

All the best

Ace.
Thanks for the info Ace. Well its appears that the refresh issue is ok for now. No refresh required other then the 30 min timeout refresh. So finally some good news. We will probably find out later if the issue is fully resolved. As for direct recording of the stream, good luck getting a positive result.
What I don't get is why they was an issue with the iPhone/iPad stream?
First impressions seem to suggest the stream is stable again. Thanks for your efforts Ace.
stream is improving AT LAST.

thanks aceman this is down to you i imagine.

I'm assuming the initial 3 streams are still up-streamed to the supplier through the dedicated server. If there was a problem with those settings, then it would be passed onto the iphone/ipad services.

So curing one, should have cured the other.

I may be wrong on this, but it would explain why both systems were having similar problems.
