Thanks, I'm having the same problem with stream 2. It would seem that Orca rolling back the settings on encoder number 2 has just given us back the old problem with it.

Yep, tonight has been the last straw for me as well. So much so, that I have sent an e-mail to Jamie saying that my campaign to help Elite fix and improve their webstream is over.
I no longer think the problems will be fixed, because I don't think Orca have a clue what's wrong. In my opinion, I don't think they have the knowledge or the infrastructure in place to deliver the service required.
So from now on I will no longer be helping them fix the problems.
Jamie is probably as pissed of as we are, because he has done everything Orca has asked of him. From upgrading the bandwidth, to buying new encoders, and even the purchasing of a dedicated server. All on the recommendation of Orca. And yet hear we are, 18 months later, still trying to get the basics fixed. So Jamie's as much a victim in this as the rest of us.
And yet if you go a channel down on this forum, you get to Red Light. There's a relatively new channel that has managed to get 3 HD streams up and running in less than six months.
How? Because the provider they are with, Brightcove, clearly has the knowledge and infrastructure in place to deliver the service.

I know that. But it makes no difference where he is, as I was still conversing with him this afternoon via e-mail.
And don't get me wrong, this isn't going to alter anything else that I do. I'm still a supporter of Elite, and will be capping and recording just the same.
I just won't be wasting my time on Orca from now on.
