The character Lena Luthor played by Actress Katie McGrath has been promoted to a season regular in season 3.
Whaddya know, my joy at the absence of Olsen and Carr was short-lived.

Episode 15 follows on well from 14, but the central plot metaphor is so heavy-handed it's untrue. "Ooh, we're sending these immigrants/aliens back where they belong, whether it's safe for them or not!" Well, where'd they get that plot from, eh, cynics?

There's some drama in the idea that Kara had to stop the ship with her sister on it, and thus abandon her father to Cadmus. But that drama is never touched on. Nor is the premise that Kara can now continue journalism as a blogger... maybe Snapper could have sent her a text saying he looked forward to reading her next blog? But no.

Managed to set Flash up to record for this week's crossover. At least with only 2 shows, I don't need flap about watching them in order Wink

Ep 18 "Ace Reporter" synopsis:

“IZOMBIE’S” RAHUL KOHLI GUEST STARS – Lena’s (guest star Katie McGarth) ex-boyfriend, Jack Spheer (guest star Rahul Kohli), comes to National City to unveil his big breakthrough in nano-technology, which has the potential to eradicate all diseases. Lena asks Kara to attend Jack’s conference with her for support. When Kara sees Snapper (guest Star Ian Gomez) in attendance she’s inspired to tap back into her reporter skills and questions Jack on his discovery, which ultimately leads to a bigger investigation that puts everyone in danger.
Managed to get through Episode 16 AND the Flash crossover. Typically, the crossover just wastes a Flash episode rather than a Supergirl one. Ep 16 has Mon-El's parents (although my guess is they aren't really), and I was expecting more about Mon-El's leaving (like, he didn't want to rejoin his parents whom he hated, that sort of thing - but there's still episodes left for this). The subplot with Lyra was an interesting direction, whether it leads to more remains to be seen.

The Flash thing was, as expected, a totally self-indulgent waste of time. The Music Meister was the sort of silliness that feels naff in a comic book, and suffers on screen when we had Mxy a few weeks back who was ALSO a super-dimensional trouble-making dude etc Ah well.
^^^Music Meister wasn't from the comics believe it or not and his actually a Batman villain as for Mxy it's what the guy does if you read lastest Superman story in the comics you'll know the big shit that his been causing since DC Rebirth and the repercussions his caused Superman and his son.
