It would have been more of a success if the writers hadn't pissed about with the stupid love triangle/quadrangle thing, which has bugged pretty much everyone. The fact that they daytime soaped the shit out of it (making aspects tacky), was a mistake Rolleyes
It needs fixed or they may as well just bin it off, and they need to stop the whole Cat Grant getting Kara's name wrong on purpose thing, it's fucking stupid!
Why do they seem to be cutting costs CBS had a good quarter with revenues above expectations and advertising revenues up

Would be good on CW especially if they keep it on its day was a good start to the week
The reason why is it's costing CBS 3 million dollars per Ep on top of which it's a lot of money for a new show for CBS, now if the ratings where high which there not then they could justify having a high budget. Even tho CBS profits are up they'll use that to fund there new shows in the fall 2016 in the states.
Here my thoughts and problems with the show abs how it could be fixed they need to stop shoving down are throats that Supergirl is a woman and all this feminism you can be a strong character that happens to be a woman look at Agent Carter she's living in a time of sexism and racism but she proves she's a strong character that happens to be a woman and even characters that are sexiest end up respecting her. Supergirl needs to cut down or cut this out and focus on her being a strong super hero character.
The love triangle stuff never worked and the sulking Jimmy and wanting to have cake and eat with two women and rushing the relationships rather then developing slowly over time.
It's biggest issue is with the villians they've been piss poor look at the flash with reverse flash and now zoom, or Arrow with Deathstroke or Damien Dahk or kingpin in Daredevil or the villian in Jessica Jones you want someone that's gonna menacing and evil and believable. They could easily use supermans villians in show and use a lot comic stories and adapt for them the small screen the flash is perfect examine of doing this. The excuses of not seeing superman are laughable and the excuses they use. Either show him or don't there's something they do in finale with superman and it's laughable. My idea would be to use Superboy who is a clone of superman in the comics he would be next best thing having him but they need use Superman. People like Maxwell Lord just come across like a cheap knock off Lex, if could my hands on the show I would whip it into shape.
thats cos agent carter is british and not american if she had been american then she would be as whiney as supergirl Wink
That's more to do with the poor writing for example what's happened with felicity arrow, I stand by what I said about Supergirl could strong character that happens to be female if they tighten up the writing the comic version of her and even the smallville version was much stronger character.
the finale was a fine example of the stupidity that has been going with should be strong characters, especially when other shows/films show a much stronger version.

cbs don't own the rights to it therefore don't get much money when the show is sold overseas or to other channels for syndication therefore cbs doesn't see the point on spending £60m on show knowing they wont get much return on it, this is the same for criminal minds has the rights are owned by abc studios where has the likes of ncis generate a lot of money from syndication for cbs.
To further cut costs to the budget Warner Bros are thinking about moving production from Los Angeles to Vancouver, this is where both Arrow and The Flash are both filmed if this is the case it would make it really easy to do cross overs.
Having finally summoned up the nerve to start episode 12 (though not for long), I do think a problem with this series is that it wants to rely on existing Superman mythos for its audience to want to care (because it is a spin-off really), but it also wants to stand alone at times, and I think it falls between the two stools. Jimmy Olsen as a bridge figure works, but once you're reusing old baddies of his or other characters from the same universe (was Martian Manhunter really a Supergirl regular?), it just smacks of a lack of imagination and a lack of faith.
It's now official Supergirl has moved over to CW and has been renewed for season 2, it will filmed in Vancouver where the rest of the CW shows are filmed instead of LA.
