Personally, I think more crossovers are a mistake, but if that's the price for continued broadcasting, well, I guess it's OK.
It's all about ratings that's why they do crossovers for example the pilot of Supergirl was watched by over 13 million viewers after that the ratings started dropping, it's only when it had the cross over with the Flash where ratings went up even people that didn't like Supergirl tuned in just to watch it because of The Flash after that the ratings dropped again. When ever they have done crossovers whether it's been to do with Arrow, Flash or Legends the ratings have always increased which is good for the networks and it's what the fans ask for. Now crossovers shouldn't be done for the sake of it if there's a good story to be told then it can be done and be successful.
Supergirl's main problems have been to do writing when it comes to action set pieces it's pretty good but even then the special effects have been hit or miss now this shouldn't be the case considering there spending 3 million dollars per Ep and The Flash only spends a million dollars per Ep and it comes across looking better n
Flash over all has been better series it's better written especially when it deals with heart ache or anything emotional namely the season 1 finale when Barry chooses not to alter the time line to save his mother again a emotionaly piece of drama or season 2 Ep 21 when his trapped in the speed force and is stuck because of past fears. Character development is important too but Supergirl only seems to have development some characters and others without spoiling too much. You look at characters like Heatwave in Legends and how they've fleshed out his character and developed him and now his one of most loved tv characters.
Supergirl's biggest problem is a meaty villain which I've said before it lacks a strong, charming villainous character like Reverse Flash, Zoom or even Deathstroke instead it keeps chopping and changing who the bad guy is you feel anything for them. Part of what made Reverse Flash so great was the writing and he was well acted by actor Tom Cavanagh and baring in mind he was playing serveral versions of the same character and with how Teddy Sears is playing Hunter Zolomon/Zoom or even kingpin in the Daredevil Netflix series, every hero is as good as villain. Lastely they need to cut out or cut down the feminism/ girl power being shoved down people's throats even female viewers don't like Supergirl for that very same reason.
Do Flash's ratings improve when crossovers happen in his series, too? Ditto Arrow.
guessing people who watch flash and arrow watch both although since they killed laurel off arrow might be a few nerds boycotting arrow Wink
numbers for both shows rise a little due to people who only watch one or the other having to cross over. supergirl will be the big winner as it doesn't get the same number of viewers as the other 2, though this will probably change due to them all being on the same network now. Smile

Simply answer yes it actually did and it vice versa when Arrow crossed with Flash in the second part of the cross over. I could bore people with the figures but nut shell it did.
Just seen that this crossover will be all 4 shows in one week sounds like an epic one
Think the episode on sky1 this evening "Falling" is the best episode of season1 that I've watched. Loved evil Kara/Supergirl and the nod towards Superman III
I like it when she flys lol
