Season 2 synopsis:

in Season Two, Kara has left the safety of being Cat Grant’s assistant in order to figure out what she really wants to do, while as Supergirl she continues to work at the DEO., protecting the citizens of National City and searching for Jeremiah and Cadmus. Along the way, she will team up with Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) to battle new villains, as she strives to balance her personal life with her life as a superhero

I'm not sure "Superman is coming in Supergirl" is all that suitable a tag-line for a family audience

Actress Sharon Leal has been cast as the DC character Miss Martian aka M'gann M'orzz I think this will be a interesting relationship with Martian Manhunter and of course Supergirl.
Also the DC character Mon-El has been confirmed.

Kevin Smith will be directing a Ep of Supergirl.

Supergirl and Flash will be teaming up for a two part musical Ep which Kevin Smith will be directing both Eps.
