There goes Episode 18 - quite an interesting diversion, although it doesn't entice me to watch the Flash regularly. The return for Live Wire, and the full-on Silver Banshee were nice call-backs (although the whole "she's not Kryptonian, she's just Irish!" stuff was risible). Also the big solve with the fire brigade, though again a nice nod to her rescue which led to the red kryptonite thing, but just emphasised the crapness of "whoa, she can zap around like electricity and stuff... oops, water!" which is not gonna make kids rush out to become physicists.

Still, nice ending to lead on to the next part of the story. Only 2 to go!
Ian Gomez has been cast as Snapper Carr and will be editor and chief of CatCo magazine and will be a recurring character. His character is from the comics, and Supergirl makes on the cover of TV guide.
Finished ep 19 last night, but it seems more logical to discuss it & #20 together Smile

Finished!

Ep 19 is a bit silly. Myriad is I suppose a plausible idea, but really an excuse to cut large parts of the cast out. I was also disappointed that the much vaunted appearance of Maxima was such an anti-climax. That Max should choose to spare Cat out of all the people he could have, seemed more about the high profile cast member than anything. The return of Alex and Hank was nicely done, although Alex must be a truly dire agent if she ditches her blonde wig/dye as soon as she goes home! The cliffhanger was quite good, though.

Ep 20 did at least make good on solving the previous issue of Myriad, even if "let's all believe in the power of what a good person I am" reminded me of a similar crap idea on Dr Who. The premise of just upping the ante did just about justify the rest of the episode, although Max casually informs them that it's not over with all the urgency of someone queueing at the post office. The final fight-off with Non & Indigo seemed a chronic anti-climax (Supergirl simply redoing the resolution of the one with the red android, only without being at all knackered this time). and "ooh I have to fly it into space and I might die". Just take a big breath, dummy! It seemed pretty slackly done to me. That General Lane and Max were clearly up to no good was a credible follow-on for next year, where presumably Dean Cain might have shed some weight if he is found.

On the whole, though, good stuff.
Yay you've finally finished doddle Smilelaugh
