I have thought about it shylock and I'll use the word commonsense here. For example another type of pornographic movie that I'll never ever watch is snuff movies and neither should anybody watch them too for that matter. They are pure evil.

Incase anybody is unfamilar with this type of movie, it involves scenes where the victim is engaged in a sexual activity whilst the other one stabs the subject to death. Snuff movies are banned thank goodness.

It's a sick and vile industry and is something I hope gets closed down. Aswell as that, the ones who distrubute and make the movies should be jailed for life with the key thrown away.

I know this may be hard hitting but too much evil exists in this world and unfortunately snuff movies have somehow found their way onto the market.

Like I said at the start of my post. The key word in all of this is commonsense.

Sorry, SB, but you've managed to get pretty much every element of the mythical snuff movie wrong there.

One, snuff movies don't exist - at least not in the form talked about during the 80s Nasties scare bollocks, and two, your description of what the (mythical) snuff movie is, is wholly inaccurate.

Beheading videos, and all the other murder/suicide clips that are out there on the net are not snuff movies. A snuff movie is generally regarded as an underground film that features real murders. Yes, it's known and/or suspected that some serial killers have filmed their killings, but these are for their own amusement and are only ever discovered after the killer's arrest.

As an example of how ridiculous the myth became, the film Cannibal Holocaust was regarded as a snuff movie for many years Rolleyes

...

I was just in the process of posting much the same thing as you Stan Smile

There is a significant element of 'urban myth' involved in the idea of snuff movies (often fuelled by references in other movies and tv shows), but very little, if any, real evidence of any 'industry' involved in it. And associating snuff movies with porn is totally off the mark.

Your average nightly news broadcast contains far more death and murder and more gruesome scenes than these supposed snuff movies Smile
And it was indeed the 'mythical' snuff movie (a form of 'video nasty') that resulted in the 1984 Video Recordings Act. Another pile of censorious shite.

For me if it involves adults (of legal age) and consenting (by actors who understand and and appreciate what they are doing) its fair game (as long as nobody/nothing is harmed).

Also SB for something you find so vile why in heavens publish a link to a video many would find so gross?

This is not a rant just saying...

Fully with you on common sense BTW...

Which in fact wasn't legally binding throughout the whole nonsense because the legal documents outlining it were never signed.

A snippet of an article from from The Guardian's website:

Quote:Legislate in haste, repent at leisure – that, most assuredly, is the lesson of the really quite extraordinary news that the Video Recordings Act 1984 was never referred to the European commission, was thus never officially enacted and now cannot be enforced.
^^^Actually, the Video Recordings Act was a reaction to 'video nasties' rather than snuff movies. The video nasties were predominantly films depicting excessive violence, but were nevertheless 'movies', they didn't claim to be snuff movies in any sense.

The Act was found to be in breach because the European Commision was not informed correctly, and so was replaced by the Video Recordings Act 2010, which is essentially the same thing, but I think with a slight update to cover digital movies as well.

As far as the subject goes I find it fucking disgusting, it's something I don't wish to see whether it be on the telly, on a movie or in the porn industry.

2 girls 1 cup springs to mind here, a vile and filthy video which featured 2 girls shitting into each others mouths and then before engaging in some snogging. It was repulsive. It has put me off chocolate ice cream for good.

It's that disgusting a lot of people have literally thrown up after viewing the offending content.

I'm all for freedom of content, but this isn't normal. Watch it if you dare but don't expect to see this kind of stuff coming to your telly in the future laugh

I was not advocating watersports, let alone brownie munching on adult channels, just trying to point out inconsistent censorship.

For the record I have never seen 2 girls 1 cup and have no intention of doing so. Nor any scat films. As far as I can see the reason people watch them is to see humiliation and degredation (or viewers reactions). That isn't something I can understand people deriving pleasure from except in a sadistic sense.

Wee games are different, disliked by many yet surprisingly popular in foreign porn and the gay community, along with fisting. Not my cup of tea, but not the disease ridden minority pastime that scat is. (And didnt someone say that urolgia used to be a regular feature on one of the encrypted channels until a recent rule change?)

Fact is the vast majority of internet porn is piss and shit free. Its not what viewers want even when there are no rules.

As for video nasties, once banned films like I Spit On Your Grave and Evil Dead are now shown on state owned Film 4 with no viewing restrictions from time to time. How times have changed since Margaret Thatcher had her marbles. Later on I hope to watch a BBC documentary about how Queen Victoria liked sex a lot on iPlayer.
