Beau Greaves' age meant her win got some publicity.
And correspondingly, for her defeat to Suzuki. Ashton awaits last year's champ in today's final.
Well done to the old man Warren who surprisingly reached the final he faces Jim Williams in an all Welsh final wouldn't it be funny if you could see two old guys as World Champions this year Wright and Warren that would unbelievable.

Meanwhile Suzuki has retained gone back to back and won her second world title against Lisa Ashton 3-0 wasn't the best women's event considering the women are good players now as we see in the PDC World Championship didn't look good for their tournament Ashton was far from best so was Suzuki in the final and both of them was far from their best the hole way though the tournament but that was the final in the end and Suzuki won it.
Well done to Suzuki. Amazed Ashton is a 4-time champ, only seems like yesterday she was going for her 1st.

Interesting all-Welsh men's final, given the earlier variables of no Durrant and several old hands and many newer faces.
At least either of them would be the first Welsh BDO champion since Leighton Rees in 1978 or was it 1979?
I would think after today's final, the BDO now needs to start tackling it's many problems head on if the championship is to make a return in 2021, but I do fear that today's final could be the very last final.

There has been other Welsh winners that we tend to forget about Richie Burnett 1995 and Mark Webster 2008.

But surprisingly no Welsh winners in the PDC so far Gerwyn Price should of had the best chance but he blew it.

And yeah Rees was champion in 78.
Think 1995 was first year I watched. 25 happy years (sort of).
