Looks like half the time St66 cameramen must be making extra money on the side!! Tongue Tongue

and to add insult to injury, 'Woilfie' Martin Adams has also blasted the BDO for the move. Just hope it is not the last we see Martin compete he'd be better off
moving to the PDC.

TBH the BDO probably was fighting a losing battle once the PDC was set up and working as many players went from the BDO to the PDC. Not only is the PDC championship better set up and has more prize money, they also have better events like the Premier League something which if the BDO had introduced before the PDC did, they probably would kept more of it's players onside. BUT for me the killer blow was moving from Lakeside which was unique in it's location and atmosphere, I suspect they thought the move would work but it does seem to me that it has backfired spectacularly, and I'm pretty sure many of who have watched it must have been thinking 'It belongs back at the Lakeside' and back on the BBC!! And the BDO claim players’ prize money will only go up if they sell MORE tickets!

And to add to what Babelover said here is the stupid thing the players don't even know how much money they are earning for the event only the winners money for the Men and Women has been announced has far as i know , how can you run an event before even knowing how much money you are going to earn for the event it is ridiculous.

I think myself even know the Worlds is always run in Jan if i was in that situation i wouldn't run it until i know how much money the players will earn for the event which is how every sporting event is run who cares if it is run later then it normal is if it is run in Feb or Aug for example who cares as long as the money is sorted out before the event starts that's all that matters.

Really it shouldn't of been run at all this year how much trouble they are in but it needs to be run yearly in it.
Just how did the BDO get into a mess?
Mitchell did beat the teenage lad, which got them reported on BBC Breakfast (so the BDO can get coverage, albeit at several removes).

Scott Waites produced a superb recovery against Harms after losing the first two sets.
I would say Waites is strong favourite to win

Expect Mitchell to be in with a shout too.

That Women's line-up this evening looks tricky.
i should think Ashton will probably be pushed a little by Winstanley before winning but would be a big upset if Lisa lost and think Susuki may not get her own way against Dobromyslova. Would be nice to see Paul Hogan winning but might be a tough ask
The Women dart players really should play more sets they are capable of it that's why they are allowed to play in the PDC World Championship maybe years ago less so but now they are without doubt capable of it and they are good players now to so if they played more sets it won't be a boring game it would only make them play better.
