I see Dave are advertising some BDO trophy thing in a few weeks' time, so maybe they're testing the water?
World Series of Darts starts tonight(Thursday) at 9pm on ITV4
I'm wondering if they are trying to get Darts more popular than snooker and get it into the Olympics!! Smile I do recall one such bid was made years ago!! Smile
Dave's coverage of this BDO World Trophy has seemed quite odd at times, more aping the Sky style for ther PDC stuff than what the BBC usually do. Maybe this is the BDO norm on Eurosport and whatever. On the other hand, sending the women players out with a pretty bloke, in the same manner that the guys were escorted by some chick, was a funny idea (again, maybe it's the norm).
all we need now is Dave to promote some fishing competition or crown green bowling then ..bingo we have Dave's sports channel!! Tongue

If they want to do sports and not ruin like they did with they did with Haye Day then they should test the water with pub sports first...

Any babe channel babes involved I wonder with the escorting?
Ive not been able to take the BDO seriously after watching the PDC stuff that comes on ITV and was on Free on Sky channel at Xmas. its like going from watching scottish football to Preimer League Tongue Tongue Tongue
I didn't realise until yesterday that it was running over 3 days, not 2 (oops) It still seems odd having Chris Mason as one of the many commentators, I know John Part used to do similar on the BBC, but Mason is so PDC it hurts.
Lisa Ashton beat Deta Hedman 7-4 in the Women's Final, great match Big Grin Ashton scores well enough to put a few of the men to shame.
^ Ashton averaged over 98 in one match which is a record for a female player in a televised match
