Isaac Asimov wrote quite a few short stories and novels featuring robots with positronic brains. I have read all the novels and some of the short stories.
The novels are all connected and must be read in sequence starting with "The Caves of Steel"
They would make good films. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot_series_%28Asimov%29

actually the licence from marvel studios/entertainment has expired therefore all rights go back to marvel and disney. the sony spider-man films are not part of the marvel collection where as the amazing spider-man is part of the current marvel collection and could feature in the avengers sequal along with wolverine if that could happen it would be amazing.

i have no clue as to when the licence will expire, my whole point as to to the Iron Man 3 news was that the Iron Patriot armour which will be appearing will be appearing in the movie in comic Norman Osborn was wearing the suit and Iron Man 3 that's been totally changed for very obvious reasons. As for the Spiderman rights that hasn't expired yet as Sony Picture's have hired Transformers writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci to do the screenplay for The Amazing Spiderman 2 which has already been given a release date 2nd of May 2014 and they'll possibly be another movie after that for a full trilogy then its very possible depending how long the deal was that Spiderman and who ever can cross over into other films so i don't see how the rights have gone when Sony are planning the next Spiderman film. All that's happened is that in 2009 Disney bought out Marvel and acquired the Spiderman rights however, all previous movie related deals remained intact .Disney has aquired the rights to Spider-Man merchandise in exchange for Sony keep the filming rights hence why Sony are still making the spiderman films. Here's the links to both stories:
