Reading between the lines that would suggest that they will be bringing in new younger characters to fulfill the action requirements. With Harrison pushing 70 I can't see him being the main action lead...unless the film is set in a New Republic Retirement Home

My idea would be to set in the future with new cast then they could still use Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher fitting in with them being being older they could maybe use there kids to take up the fight similar to how it was in the novels with a older Luke Skywalker being the Obi Wan Kenobi role.
