Some Marvel rumours.
Dr. Strange is one of the top properties Marvel has said it wants to develop; Luke Cage and the Black Panther have also been mentioned.
Robert Downey Jr. has confirmed that he will return for The Avengers 2 and 3, but he has yet to commit to Iron Man 4. There are plans for more standalone Iron Man movies, but nothing is confirmed.
Agent Carter- Marvel is said to be eyeing Joseph Gordon-Levitt for the role of Doctor Strange.
Ryan Reynolds is still fighting for a Deadpool movie, and Bryan Singer has said there is a chance – although Deadpool will not appear in the upcoming X-Men film. Be interesting given Reynolds is to be the next Batman! There is a three minute Deadpool test shoot apparently but any proposed story would not be a continuation of X-Men Origins
Following the success of the short film Agent Carter, which debuted with the US version of Iron Man 3 and continued the story of Captain America’s love interest after the war, Marvel is considering turning it into a TV series with Haley Atwell tipped to play the lead.
Ben Kingsley recently filmed a “secret project” for Marvel. The rumor is that it will be the next Marvel on-shot short film, and could expand on the history of the Mandarin.
James Mangold and Hugh Jackman are in negotiations to re-team for a third standalone Wolverine film. Jackman has recently been treated for skin cancer so this could affect plans.
After returning to Marvel from Fox Studios, Daredevil is set to make his Marvel debut on TV. Marvel has signed a deal with Netflix to created four TV series with a minimum of 13 episodes each, followed by a mini-series, which will likely combine the four series. Although many of the details are still a mystery, the characters confirmed for the small screen are: Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones. The mini-series will then be based on The Defenders.
