^^^ don’t with statement at all when Daniel Craig was first announced as Bond a lot of people didn’t like it because he didn’t look like a traditional Bond, dark hair, a pretty etc etc. In the first promo stuff to do with Casino Royale he was skinny, his longer and more blonde. Eventually he bulked up, his hair shorter and a little darker and when people saw the final product Casino Royale he won people over with his acting and his new brutal take on Bond. So for me it’s on the actors acting ability not totally the looks:

Fair point, although I would still much rather have Tom Hardy over Tom Hiddleston. It just so happened that it worked out for Daniel Craig with his convincing performances. I just think Hardy is quite a bit better actor than Hiddleston and already has the Bond look and physique already. Why take a risk when you already have what I and many think is the perfect actor for Bond in Hardy? Also Daniel Craig's hair wasn't as big an issue for me as is Hiddleston's face. You just can't do anything about that. He has a weasly looking face, which makes me annoyed that his fans keep bringing his name up. I mean he was good in The Night Manager and he's a decent actor but he's no Tom Hardy and he just doesn't look like Bond material.
Henry cavil is the perfect bond

By the time they start shooting hardy will be the same age as roger moore was but the only difference is moore bond films pretty much came out between 12 and 18 months apart, now movies take about 3 years to come out so hypothetically speaking hardy would be in his 50s by the time his second bond film came out... i think he would make a good bond but i think his time has past fir the role
Hardy has good genes. I watched Venom not long ago and he looks remarkably youthful for his age. Better than Roger Moore ever did because Moore always looked craggly even in his earlier Bond outings.

I don't want the Bond films to be inspired by this trend of just going young like with Spiderman. Just pick the best actor around for the role, even if he's around for just a couple of films. Craig's run was freakish, it's silly expecting to match those number of films so soon.

He won’t be bond now given he’s apparently signed a new deal to play Superman in the DCEU
I think Craig will be tough to replace, so a well established and versatile actor would be the best option for me (which is why I've been sold on Hardy as an option from the get go), spies shouldn't be too clean cut, they are supposed to be able to fit in everywhere, and a modern Bond needs somebody that can blend in and stand out, which is why Craig has been one of the best decisions they could have made. Replacing him with some of the weedy little pretty boys that have been listed over the last couple of years would be all kinds of wrong, criminal even. lol.

Out of those listed above, for me, the ones I like the sound of are Hardy (obviously), Fassbender would be second, Heughan because I think he'd capable of being a decent Bond and Turner I hadn't considered until they mentioned him a while back, but he's a good shout.

The others and their ''other notable candidates'' meh, the only long shots for me would be Idris, but he's possibly too old now, but if they wanted a black Bond, he'd be my only choice, not Will Smith ffs and Henry Golding would be an excellent Bond option too, he's an underrated actor imo.
There was a good black actor who could have made a good bond his name was colin... something Huh he was in resident evil and he got cubed by the lasers i always thought if they was gonna go with a black james bond he was the perfect choice

Edit.
Colin salmon is his name, he was in 3 of pierce brosnan's bond films
If he hadn't been in it, yeah I think he'd have been a good Bond.

As you said they used to make the Bond films every two years now they don’t do that more. Daniel Craig was gonna leave earlier on but they persuaded him to stay a little longer.
What’s gonna happen with Bond is that the actors are just gonna do less of them and spread the amount of films they make so it will be a long gap but less films. Plus even with actors being older these days they look a lot younger that’s basing if Tom Hardy is picked
