Not exactly movie news but seems the best thread to post it in. ITV are commissioning a new CGI series of Thunderbirds to mark the 50th anniversary next year. It is being made by Gerry Andersons son. A picture of Thunderbird 1 has been released which shows it remains faithful to the original. As someone who grew up watching this iconic series I can't wait.
I am not very keen on Mark Wahlberg for this movie he has done some action movies but very weird seeing him in Transformers

pleased ign have given transformers:aoe (as im calling it) a good review and got me even more excited to see it next week when it comes out in uk on july 5th
you think that's a good review? it's hardly a ringing endorsement! in fact i'd go as far to say it sounds like a heap of shite!

You're not by any chance hinting are you that you're so excited that you are going to see it next week when it comes out in the UK on July 5th
Mark Wahlberg is in it so it already has a coolness about it. Better than the annoying tit that was in the first three at any rate.

Yeah, especially for the 5th film in a franchise. Normally when a franchise gets to a 5th film the films are awful, so for transformers:aoe to get 6/10 is good

Am I missing something here. AoE is film number 4.
Never go by what reviewers say about these sort of popular movies. They hate them. The Tarquin from the Independent types tend to like their movies to be French with subtitles and tell a story about a man and his collection of matchsticks!
Am still gonna see the new Transformers films but i think they should have given it time and rebooted it and used a different director. Only judging by the trailer and other reviews it doesn't seem any different from the previous films. i would have loved to have seen a prequel showing the civil war on Cybertron or possibly setting the story in space.
