1st episode was meh. need to get back to the good story lines and calm down with the easter eggs and secret wink wink nudge nudge moments with comic book nerds, the dialogue feels like it was written by 10 year olds! arrow is way better atm imo.
Personally I didn't have a major problem with the 1st Ep was it a perfect Ep no, was it outstanding no but I thought it was solid Ep baring mind it's only the 1st Ep of season two most shows need a 4 or 5 rod before they flesh out the story arc for the season. A lot of people complained about the ending of finale which was supposed to be a cliff hanger where as Arrows season three finale never had a cliffhanger and people complained and felt underwhelmed. The 1st Ep explains what happened with the cliffhanger and the further consequences and repercussions leaving the ending to set up the reminder of the season whether it will be as good season 1 only time will tell.
Arrow and Flash are very different shows so there gonna be written differently Arrow is more darker in tone, more fritter hence why it never had meta humans till now it wanted to be taken more serious like the dark knight films so there's a lack of humour season three got a lot of slack because it was trying to be like Batman hence why with season 4 his becoming Green Arrow, there changing up the show and adding humour and of course meta humans.
The Flash is much lighter in tone, so there's gonna be humour and different type of vibe to the show it feels more like a comic book which is why I like it and so much like the comic book version of it which is why it appeals to so many people whether it's a family or comic book audience where as Arrow is more adult. I for one am glad the shows are very different as they would be simple copy and that would be boring.
i thought it was a bit Meh to be honest mind you i had just finished watching the ep2 of Agents of Shield before it.
cant believe it got 8.7 on ign and AOS got an 8.2
Terence is right should spend less time trying to namedrop other DC characters and concerntrate on the writing
aos is just getting better and better. looking forward to arrow, hope it isn't a let down like the flash!

it would have better served if it started with the flash and firestorm battling the wornhole and barry pushing everyone away, then the next ep being this one.
aos is like buffy which got a bit better with every season, I think flash will get better. I judge shows after the finale has the overall story line gets played in the last few eps that is when the pay off should be.
Yeah you are right about Whedon shows Buffy was at its best from season 4 till the end. same with spinoff angel. Dollhouse and Firefly ended way to early in my opinion
I get the feeling that maybe CW have been concerntrating on Arrow and this legends of Tommorrow show
