I'd like to see Caitlin/Killer Frost being a bad ass meta, but not a villain, if that's possible, on Team Flash.

The season 4 villain will be a lot different compared to the previous seasons and won't be a speedster all tho that doesn't mean evil speedsters won't show up just that they won't be the main villain.
Clifford DeVoe aka The Thinker will be the new villain, in the comics he was a villain the To both flashes and the teen titans.
DeVoe has been name checked twice in season 3 once Abra Kadabra and second time in the season 3 finale where evil Barry/Savitar brings up his name. No news on a casting yet but might do a post on the comic version of DeVoe/The Thinker.
The Flash just gets better and better - where as Arrow seems to be in a slump
^^^Seasons 3 and 4 of Arrow were average but Season 5 was as good as Season 2 and season finale of Arrow out of all the DC CW shows was the best one. For me Arrow is back on track.

Completely agree & in my opinion The Flash is the best of by far of all the DC series out of Supergirl,Legends of Tomorrow & Arrow.Flashes success for me is down to 2 things really 1)the likeability of the main characters & 2)the quality of the villians ie King Shark,Zoom,Savitar,Killer Frost,Reverse Flash etc.
I'd agree that the Arrow (as well as Supergirl) has slumped & has often been at times boring but part of that is due to it competing against a high benchmark in The Flash.

It took a LONG time to get to that finale though!
Personally I don't think so whole point in prometheus was to bring Oliver down not just physically but psychologically too. If you look at all the villains in the seasons so far they all used brute strength.
You could argue that Flash took a long too and explain why usually in thre Flash they reveal who the villain really roughly between Ep 13 to 15 but in season they never did till near the last few eps where the arrow did it roughly half through the series this is because Barry has always been his worse enemy especially with the events of flashpoint and Reverse Flash telling Barry now who's the villain and he actually really was well his future time remanent was so they didn't have to reveal it so early.
What made Season 5 Arrow so great was making people believe that Adrian Chase was Vigilante and the being he was actually Prometheus and he wasn't even Adrian Chase so it leaves a Another mystery who is Vigliante which is gonna be answered.
Adrian Chase joins Oliver helping him with him being major but secretly his fucking him over and even telling Oliver his best friend. He even fucks over diggle and helps set him free with Felicity help, he makes Oliver kill Felicity boyfriend and every tells Oliver to cover it up but leaks it out again fucking him over he makes Green Arrow public enemy number so everyone turns on him. Then he starts destroying Team Arrow one by one, he even kidnaps Olivers new girlfriend and then they found what his up to even killing his own wife and making Oliver blame Green Arrow for her murder. Him even kidnapping Oliver and taking him apart mentally.
This bearing that Prometheus is always one step ahead of Oliver and wanting to show him who Oliver really is a killer which Oliver admitted. You would with the public knowing who he is he would back off but nope carries on his pain. He not only escapes from prison but kidnaps team arrow from behind bars but finds and kidnaps Olivers son and his mother that's pretty fucked up. Then Oliver has to go to his greatest enemy namely Deathstroke who remember killed Oliver's and Thea's mother for help then we get the finale which was epic and see how insane Prometheus really is by copying what Olivers father did in the pilot he gives Oliver the impossible choice of saving his son or his team mates and rigging the whole island the question now is who survives and who doesn't. Plus the flashbacks come full circle and even flesh out the season 1 pilot of Arrow and made totally sense.
The Flash was great in its own right with Barry essentially beating himself and using his greatest power not his super speed but his compassion and finding the good in others something Captain Cold told him.
Both seasons have been great but i liked the Arrow finale little more so no I don't agree with it taking long to get the finale because you want great intriguing storyline with a great villain being a thread to Oliver and his team which had twists and wasn't afraid to go dark. Seasons 3 and 4 never had any this which is why they were a disappointment and this is why season 5 was a massive improvement, season 6 has a lot to live up too. The Flash been the most constant show out of all the DC CW shows plus it's my fav simply because it's the comic character i grew up with and read well more so the original Wally West Flash which i still read to this day.
It's just when you compare Arrow Season 5 to Seasons 3 & 4 the differences with the story and villain are night and day.
There is a reason why Season 3 and 4 of Arrow weren't great and I'll happily explain in the Arrow one clue I will give is look at difference between the season 4 costume then look at the Season 5 one.
season 5 off arrow was to go full circle and with the hope of moving oliver towards being the green arrow of the comics with a bit more light than darkness. season3 of flash was barry paying for his meddling of time at the end and acceptance of consequences.
I think season3 and 4 of arrow were not as good as season1 and 2 due to season1 and 2 being grounded in reality with no metas until star labs blew up also more importantly legends of tomorrow and flash were introduce with season3 and 4 of arrow with arrow being more establish which meant the focus was to legends and flash established which is why season 5 of arrow was better after legends and flash being established. I would the arrow to have a bit more procedural eps with the main story arc running through the season or have story being told over several eps.
the supergirl finale was not the best but it did make 4 references to potential villains for season 3 and future seasons.
arrows and flashes finales with a little tweaking could easily work has final episodes of the shows.
season 6 of arrow is going towards being more the like comics

Some valid points made there,I think most shows lose a bit of momentum at some point and probably get caught up in their own hype.Seasons 3 and 4 of Arrow definately struggled but the writers recovered well for season 5.I think the Prometheus storyline,with all its twists and turns added a great deal of value.
