Some forum members never fail to surprise as well as disappoint me. The response from those members saying that Bang Babes are to blame for the demise of the best of the adult channels is utterly fucking bonkers.
They say that they went too far and deserved what was meted out to them by Ofcom. Who do these members think they are kidding when they say that all they want from the adult channels is a well turned ankle, and a pretty face. If that was the case, why just not watch repeats of Hollyoaks? If I remember rightly, I can't recollect many complaints when Lucy and Dannii entertained us so spectacularly.
If the bounderies had never been challenged we still woudn't be allowed to read certain books. The likes of Lady Chatterley would still be banned. I would expect the said members will say you can't compare a literary masterpiece with a sex phone in show. But for many a member the adult channels mean every bit as much. I for one will not be watching the shows as regularly as I have in the past if it means that the makers of, and the girls who appear in these shows will now be frightened of their own shadow,I can see this being the end of these shows,mores the pity. Unless the non-elected bureaucrats are challenged in one way or the other.

sorry smelltheroses it isnt "fucking bonkers" (your words) to blame bangbabes for their current situation. yes ofcom are idiots, but they have rules that the channels have to stick to and if they dont they will be punished. Bangbabes broke the rules 60 times in the past 18 months and also werent co-operating with ofcom's demands so no surprise that ofcom has finally had enough and took the licences away
other channels have broke the rules, but no where near as much as bang did
for now the channels have to stick to the rules for now whilst ofcom is watching them
I suppose the 59 other breaches would have been forgotten about if not for that

I pointed to this last week when it all blew up.But almost straight away everyone jumped on Dannii`s case.Dont think it is a coincidence that there have been no caps or video from the last Michelle Thorne show last Thursday night.
I for one am glad they pushed the boundaries. Once upon a time you could only buy porn in this country from a few select outlets and it was shit. All the decent stuff back in the day was illegal, even straight forward intercourse.
It changed because pioneers kept pushing the boundaries and trying to get away with whatever they could. Now pretty much every town in the UK has an outlet selling hardcore porn with a huge variety of themes and types. Ofcom are utimately responsible to the government and if the populace want change it can and will happen.
Yes Bangbabes have only themselves to blame but at least they tried and I would like to thank them for doing so.
We need more of this in the UK and we need to stand up and shout for what we want and what we think is fair and right. Then maybe we can finally hold those making the money out of us and censuring our lives to account (I'm especially talking to you in the banking industry). I won't go down that road or I'll be here for ages.
I look forward to more boundary pushing from those who remain and any newcomers who may come along.

I've worked in the industry and they did go to far, they broke the regs they deserved what they got end of! They hadn't just done it once but several times and they had been warmed repeatidly. It's not RIP it's thank god as hopefully other channels will realise what the regs actually are and actually follow the rules.
