To put this into perspective its the same as selling a Suarez every year for the next ten years. While we may have had a poor season on the pitch this shows what a globally powerful brand and well run business United are.
United in advanced talks with Juve for Arturo Vidal now with Nani going in the opposite direction plus £32 million according to several sources. This will be the signing of the season for me. Also apparently getting a favourable response from Hummels. He may not be the paciest of defenders but he is intelligent and a quality tackler.
Robben has indicated he will remain at Bayern which doesn't bother me too much. Undoubted quality but he can be temperamental and his diving annoys me...Young is bad enough we don't want another. Di Maria has also stated he is not interested as he wants CL football this season.
im guessing its the best football sponsorship deal going right now and all this after finishing 7th last year, but it shows the power of man utd as you said as a worldwide brand! im sure they will make adidas quite a bit as well!

the difference is robben is world class, young should be playing for a team like westham or swansea not man utd, robben would be cheap at his age and he will give you 2 years good service, would you rather have a diver like robben, or a barren honest workhorse in the team?
It wasn't really a comment on Robben but more an aside based on the fact he is not coming to United. To answer your question I'd rather have a fantastic, skillful and prolific player who did not have to resort to cheating.
Who needs champions league football if u get 75mil a year in shirt deal Wink

i think alot of these sources regarding vidal are just mostly from twitter and it seems to be the papers are quoting the original twitter source bytor so i wouldnt put to much into it to be honest. the herrera deal when it went through no1 expected it although they tried to sign him last year, when it happened last month no1 called it. looks like whoever was briefing the british and manchester press last year seems to have stopped briefing them. vidal would be a great signing for man utd but unless someone like andy mitten comes out and says something positive i wouldnt expect man utd to even be in for him. he has alot of contacts in the club and seems to know alot. maybe ducker or ogden as well might be in the know about certain signings!
I know. If you see some of my earlier posts you will see I don't set much by what I read in the press. What they don't know they make up. Vidal is just a player I have wanted us to buy for two or three seasons and is the sort of driving force we have been missing for several years. On this occasion though I think there is some validity that we have been enquiring about him. A friend who goes to Carrington regularly and knows the players and coaching staff well enough to chat to and has a proven track record in getting inside information said he believed an offer was in the making. Obviously the players don't always know themselves who is coming to a club to offset that. He was as surprised as anyone when we signed RvP Smile
Whatever I just hope that new signings will be forthcoming to strengthen our weak areas and make us competetive now that van Gaal has arrived. Lets face it City, Arsenal and Chelsea are all going to be major contenders next season.
i think your next signing surely has to be a centre back, with vidic and rio gone and even 2 left backs unless evra changes his mind but at least you got a left back in shaw. i will be amazed if he doesnt bring in a centre back soon with the departure of vidic and rio. i think theres alot of deadwood there what van gaal will get rid of and alot of that is in midfield.

Couldnt agree more. Ironically just been chatting to my mate. He has now heard that Van Gaal may not be persuing Vidal after all. He heard that Vidal was a target identified by Moyes and that he was on a list drawn up by United prior to van Gaal's appointment. Strootman maybe a target dependant on his recovery from serious injury. I think it best to see what gets officially announced before building any hopes up.
With the Adidas deal, Wall Street now affords United the status as the world's most valuable team, with an enterprise value of $3.6 billion.
Although United will not participate in the lucrative 2014-15 Champions League due to its seventh place finish last season, the team now commands both the richest uniform and shirt deals in the world.
It may be tough for Real Madrid to catch Manchester United, at least in terms of how Wall Street perceives their valuations as Spain is looking to have La Liga teams negotiate their next television deal collectively rather than having the individual teams sell their media rights. This is likely to eliminate the huge television revenue advantage Real and Barcelona ($182 million) currently enjoy over their rivals. Also, Real Madrid's kit deal with Adidas runs until 2020 and its shirt sponsorship with Emirates Airline lasts upto the 2017-18 season. So unless Real Madrid have a reset written into their deals they will not get an increase in revenue any time soon.
