Not true. Jordan was the first basketball player to earn $30m a year. Bryant is still the only other one. But what is true is that Jordan earnt a lot more from endorsements. The Jordan brand basketball show by Nike earns Jordan $60m a year these days.

wow hes still earning now, nice Smile
Jordan and Kobe are all time greats. Schmacher was making $70m+ when he was beating all comers in F1 and Tiger Woods has made $100m+ in several seasons. Bacon Face aka Rooney is not fit to be considered in the same team sentence as Best, Charlton, Cantona, Scholes, Duncan Edwards or Schmeikle. A very good agent and a very gullible Man U are to blame.

I agree with the sentiment but not so sure I agree about United being gullible. We could not afford to let him leave. If he had then the message to other top players would be to think twice about joining. Where United went wrong was in having a disastrous summer in the transfer market when he could have been replaced at a much lesser cost. United can well afford the cost but what price now for any major signings. I fear player salaries have just gone up another notch.
not gullible, they simply couldn't let him leave. the message that would have sent out to other clubs and more importantly other potential signings would've been disastrous.
plus how much for a replacement who gives you what rooney gives, how much wud a player like him cost? u look at the positions he can play, if he plays up front he will get u goals and assists, when he plays in midfield he looks the best player on the pitch, his work rate when ever i watch him is immense and i dont think he gets enough credit for that at club and international level especially from fans. im guessing he sells a few shirts as well so im sure the club wouldnt have given him this new deal if they didnt think it wud be possible.
let's hope he doesn't let that go to his head and start showing some form in time for the World Cup. I was wondering if the negotiations were having an effect on his performance on the pitch if they were on going. I would agree with Scirocco's sentiment about him being not fit to be considered in the same breath as Best Charlton etc. but I really hope in Rio we will finally see the best of Rooney performing for England.

Yes Jordan earns a lot more from his Nike deal now than he did when he was playing.
Judging from tonight's performance against Olympiakos it looks like Man Utd are going to have the mother of all clear outs at the end of the season.
yeah and it sounds like rvp not happy at all unless they arent quotes he has made and sum1 is making it up. im going on what i have seen on twitter iv not seen an interview. i think they are definitely not playing for moyes, so who's going to go... certain players or the manager.
