I can only assume that they would need to report no new cases for several weeks or something before releasing any lockdown. I'm not sure what the timescale is on that front.

I believe they have already allowed residents of Wuhan to go out. For all of the world it will be important to see if they can manage that without a fresh outbreak of cases because at some point all countries will face the same decision
I would imagine each country will probably make its own timeframe decision on how long to wait after having no new cases before lifting restrictions
^^^ I'm sure that's true, but it's also kind of a weird thought.

This virus knows no borders and it shouldn't really be a political decision. If we haven't learned by now that the science should be 'on top', not 'on tap', then we've really learned nothing at all.
With all the panic buying going on and the supermarket shelves being stripped bare, it's good to know there's still one thing that's still available.

I was going to say it shows how thick people are, but on reflection people must know the virus isn't spread by Corona Beer, and in the current circumstances they just don't want anything called Corona in the house.

Linda Lusardi Heart was/is lovely. If we'd had the channels in the 70-80's then she'd have probably be on them.
lastnight was a huge order from the supermarkets, getting towards what u would expect at xmas, this is way past the level that we can cope with this time of year, it should be the quietest time of year and the staff levels are reflecting that,
this why people need to stop the panic buying, its not that we dont have enough stock on hand we do way more than we would ever have this time of year normally, if people would just start buying normal then there would be way more in the shops than anyone would need, people just need to realize that supply is now over a day behind on delivery to the supermarkets for us, i guess the same for others so the stuff will get there if people just give it time,
on a lighter note i did see the huge corona beer promo last night did wonder how much would come back unsold lol
Rishi for PM !!!

christ seriously throwin the kitchen sink at the economy
WORK UPDATE : -

I finished work at 6 pm as normal tonight and was informed by my college what the Government had done. I would say the pubs restaurant and gym thing I had suspected would happen, but most shops in town centre wee closing at 5pm and as for us it will be down
to individual management to make whether we open or not and I am due in on Monday at present, BUT if the situation changed I would be informed. I have to admit all of sudden things have a recession type feel to them because of the virus and the atmosphere in town feels very different to what I've been used to before. How close we are to a lockdown situation as a country as a whole I don't know, but I imagine that scenario is waiting around the next corner at some point What we can be sure of if this :- life as we know Jim, has got a different look about it.
