Tried to book my first jab yesterday but found the nearest place is 50 miles away ffs no spaces available in all.of Somerset so I am now waiting to see if some come up closer to home,
^Keep trying. I know people who have had to try several times to get somewhere within a reasonable travelling distance.

Also, a couple of days after I booked mine I got a call from my GP Surgery offering an appointment there.
My younger brother had his 2nd jab a couple of weeks earlier than scheduled and told me that I might get mine earlier my 2nd jab is scherduled for 5th June but get the feeling that work might end up putting a spanner in the works for that one we'll have to see they have said they don't think they could give me the time off after it to recover. But I am thinking the 2nd one might come with all the problematic side effects off it but def planning on not working that day.
its getting worse i checked today and now its offering me Salisbury to get my jab thats 70 miles away lol, this is so messed up that there is no vaccine in somerset,
It is better to phone them than go online . The online booking system seems to come up with random locations.

That's not what it means. If there are no available slots at them because they are fully booked then Somerset locations will not show up - I had that when I booked in Essex - the centre 2 miles away never appeared because it was fully booked. I actually drove past the queue to it on my way to a centre 15 miles away to get mine!

Friends of mine have had the same experience - they've then had a call from their GP and got the vaccine locally in a couple of days.

Keep trying and good luck
Had my 2nd Pfizer Covid-19 jab at lunchtime. Apart from a bit of soreness in my arm where I had the injection & a bit of tiredness, I’m fine. Now taking it easy incase any serious side effects do happen
booked an appointment to get jab today Big Grin, the NHS sent me a letter today saying i could now get the jab and it had my NHS number on which i didn't know, so i entered that online and it gave me a number of different places much more local, one being only 30mins away, got it next Tuesday very happy,
My sister got the letter for her first yesterday they have made it really easy to do

if only the Track and bloody Trace system had been done in the same way Tongue Tongue
I thinkj we all share that feeling HP. So much for that 'world - beating' tag - which has be another Johnson whopper.

Got an interesting letter from NHS the other day. asking if I wanted to take part in an antibody test. Willing to post image of letter if anyone else hasn't seen one yet and to look for out for getting one. I would do it but I can't stand needles!! Tongue (I know it's only a little prick!!) Big Grin but since I'm five weeks away from second jab wondering if I should have had sooner after my first one. Anyhow now having week off work after second jab work finally agreed to allow me to have week off which is a good thing. I thnk having not had any serious side effect from the first apart from soreness in arm and tiredness (which I think is par for the course for many of us on here), I'm half expecting the same as before but at the same time I'm wondering if the second one is when I'll get all the other side effects.
