Most people don't have to travel the length of the country to get to work, and then go home again at the end of the week. Many MP's are in the shielding group, either for themselves or a member of their family. Suspension of the online voting system means they won't be able to vote.
It's fuck all to do with getting MP's 'back to work' and everything to do with getting the Tory MP's who rebelled over Cummings back within reach of the whips.

I hope that by some freak of nature we can extradite Johnson and the rest of his cabinet to Guantanamo Bay once they are kicked out of office to share cells there with Trump and co indefinitely. That's where they belong. I'm not sure where Cummings should go though.
