Didn't Scotland and Wales's 1st ministers stop the English from travelling to their countries when cases when it was the other way round.

didnt all the schools go back early there
Yep, schools went back two weeks ago up here in Scotland, so that'll be playing its part. When English schools have been back for two weeks, there will no doubt be a spike for you guys too, the little turds are the worst of the spreaders at the minute.
Englands cases reported yesterday were up 4,000 on the previous week and that was a week after the start of the Leeds & Reading festivals so I do wonder if there is a connection
Seeing that 32,000 of kids here in Scotland have already been missing days of school due to a positive test and or self isolating is quite frankly shocking yet they are still thinking NOT to vaccinate them whilst personally one's doing college and university should be barred if they haven't had any vaccine
In my view it's essential that everyone is vaccinated as soon as possible. I can't believe they're even debating whether or not to innoculate young age groups - just get it done. As long as there's potential for anything to spread it no-one's safe. I get the concerns over side effects but the benefits of vaccinating outweigh the risks and the sooner it's done, the better.

I think we're heading for another lockdown as the cold / flu season approaches with cases already high again and too many people seemingly not bothering with basic common sense over distancing and masks in crowded places. I get annoyed with some of my friends when they say they still don't trust the testing and some of them admit to still being virus-sceptics. Sad
^^ just hope its not going to be a bad flu season

esp there is now a warning about the supply of Flu vaccine because of driver shortages you would have thought they could use the same system they are using to do the covid jab to do the flu vaccine
From October 1st France are changing their Health passport rules regarding visiting cafes, resturants and even Disney Paris. They are reducing the age group for needing a Health passport from 18 to 12 years.

So to qualify for a passport you have to be double jabbed, or recovered from Covid or had a recent Covid test.
There are changes to the travel rules later today.

It's looking like there will only be 2 levels, red and green. And a few of the red countries will be changed to green.
Testing for the double jabbed will not be necessary. (or reduced)
Anyone who hasn't been double vaccinated will have to self isolate for 10 days, no matter if they are returning from a green or red category country.
^ The changes have been announced.
Day 2 testing will still happen but it can now be an antigen test.

Another change that is being planned is that the free lateral flow testing is to stop. No dates are known.
