You're badly misinformed, macrocharged. I recommend you talk to some of the more experienced babe channel girls and ask them how call volumes vary according to channel number.

Take the entertainment section on Sky - an EPG slot at the top costs 200 times the price of an EPG slot at the bottom. The adult section is smaller, so consequently has a smaller differential, but the top slot there is still perhaps 60 times the cost of the bottom slot.

You think it's baloney? Ask MTV. When they got the top slot in the Sky music section their viewing figures increased by 148%. eek

This may explain why some of the babes look bored.
"Oh yeah baby, give me those EPG prices"
Was it Mica?

Cellcast got rid of all their lower number channels as simply not being worth it, but a few years ago they had a good mix of higher and lower numbers.

At that time it was much easier to get through on the phone to someone on a lower channel, and if you mentioned it to the girl in question there was a fair chance that she'd bemoan how few calls she was getting having been bumped down to a lower channel. They really didn't take a lot of prompting to make comments along those lines.
What is this lower/higher confusion?

906 = lower

942 = higher

Cellcast did not get rid of their lower numbers, they got rid of the higher ones. They are now in the lower range. Apparently that's better, not that I'm convinced. I think it's more to do with grouping of channels. For instance, Cellcast had channels at 906, 908 and 912, plus BlueKiss at 951, so it's no wonder that people may have not been aware of it.

If you had Sky it wouldn't seem confusing.

If you press Sky's 'TV Guide' and then 'Adult' it brings up a list of channels, starting with 900. There are 5 pages of the channels, so in order to see beyond the first few you have to scroll DOWN.

Scrolling DOWN enables you to find the channels which are LOWER in the list. Scrolling UPWARDS brings you back to the channels which are HIGHER in the list.

I used to notice that a lot and I mainly called the lower channels for that reason. I can't say I notice it as much these days. Maybe call volumes are lower and it's generally easier to get through to all the channels, so you don't see so much difference, or maybe things are more mixed up now with all these cut price calls on offer and it's harder to see the underlying pattern.
Well, if all this is true then all I can say is there must be some really stupid/lazy remote control pilots out there Big Laugh
Why you wouldn't check ALL the channels first before deciding a winner is just mental Huh
I simply assumed folks would do the same as I always have and go through the whole lot.
Guess not then Rolleyes

I'm not sure. Is it mental?

Say for example you used the TV Guide to display the channels (70% of Sky users select channels in this way). Say you were a casual viewer, who didn't particularly know the adult channels, or any of the girls, and you started on the first page as you logically would (98% of Sky users say they do). From the offerings on the first page you select Sky 906 and find the astonishing alluring Ruby Summers filling your TV screen.

Now comes the question. As a casual viewer, do you (a) marvel at Ruby's beauty and her seductive demeanour, and her ability to make your heart beat faster, and maybe even consider giving her a call, or alternatively do you (b) move on and leave the woman of your dreams behind because you've still got another 4 pages of the EPG to scroll through? This assumes of course that you even know there are another 4 pages of the EPG to scroll through. If you haven't visited the adult section before you wouldn't know how many more pages there were. There might not be any further pages at all, and the page you're looking at might be it, or there might be more than 4 further pages, who knows how many?

A second question is this. If you took option (b) and patiently scrolled through the other 4 pages of the EPG, and checked out all the options shown there, would there then be any guarantee that the deliciously enticing Ruby Summers would still be on screen by the time you'd finished your scrolling task and managed to get yourself back to channel 906?
It's rubbish there best girls do the day shows

Guess not is right. You got it!

Take Cellcast's old Sumo TV channel. Maybe you remember they exchanged their 144 slot on the Sky EPG for the lower 198 slot. Do you recall that? But the channel they did the exchange with paid Cellcast £1.4m to get that higher slot. Yes £1.4m, even though moving up from channel 198 to channel 144 still only put them on the 6th page of the EPG.
