Its nothing to do with Thea its more to do with the comics as Roy Harper went under three names Speedy, Red Arrow and his current name Arsenal. There's supposed to be a on going joke in the season finale regarding Roy and Oliver who keeps calling by that name which will then lead up to him getting a proper at some point whether he gets final chosen name on the season finale or in the future that i don't know yet. I know my Green Arrow history very well.

Roy Harper has several nicknames due changes in his character, one name change happened after he got clean from a drug addication. I think they will go with Arsenal since they are starting to call oq arrow but eventually be the green arrow.
I cannot wait to see the death thrown match between queen and slade.

His only had 3 names in comics in order Speedy, Arsenal, Red Arrow. In the current DC 52 his always been Arsenal and it was already confirmed in my post that at some point whether its in the season finale or future season that he'll go the name Arsenal as stated by Stephen Amell on a Q and A that he did last week. As for the drug addiction they kinda have done that in Arrow with him being under the influence of the Mirakuru.
