Crackdown 3 (XOne);

I loved the first Crackdown on the Xbox360 when it was released back in 2007 getting the chance to play a character with upgradeable superhuman abilities taking on a crime-ridden city was a fun concept.The great game it was my favourite part in the game was scaling & leaping over the tall buildings & landscapes searching for the hidden orbs that are used to upgrade your abilities to enhance your powers further. Crackdown 2 (X360) was a disappointing sequal that was merely an expansion on the first game & just didn't use the first game as the foundation to expand & improve on the game.I did have high hopes when Crackdown 3 (Xone) was announced particularly as rumours circulated that the game has been 6 years in development but when the review embargo was lifted prior to the games release a week ago to very lukewarm & poor reviews filled me with disappointment (& many others gauging by forums & reviews).A good friend of mine works for CEX & lent me a copy for a few days so I've had a good 4-5 hours play on the game & I have to say I found the game hugely underwhelming to be blunt it's piss-poor.The best part about the game is that they used actor & former NFL player Terry Crews to play as your main character but everything else about the game just feels undercooked.The first Crackdown boasted over a 100 song soundtrack which isn't the case this time but this just doesn't feel like a game that took 6 years to make & graphics wise it looks more like an X360 than a current generation game,there are far better games of of it's type than this.I feel this lucklustre effort may have just killed off the Crackdown franchise which is a shame.Overall 5/10.
Apex Legends (PS4);

I've been playing this game for the past week or so & I really like it & for anyone not in the know about this game its a squad based (team of 3) based 1st person shooter where you can choose from 8 different characters (each with their own special abilities) battling against 20 other squads in a Battle Royale in a last squad landing.After being drop-shipped into the map you are completely un-armed where looting for weapons, shields & weapon upgrades is the key to survival (as well as a co-operative team).You can either operate as squad with two friends (better for working as a more cohesive squad) or 2 random online colleagues but what is innovative is that you don't need need a headset to co-operate (it does piss me off listening to other players continuously coughing down the headset) where you can instruct team mates via a ping system (pointing out where loot,enemies or other items of interest).
Handling of certain weapons can feel a little light particularly on the recoil but adding attachments & weapon upgrades that can be found through looting which makes weapons feel a lot better.I've played around 60 squad matches so far & had 10 squad wins & racked up over 150 kills.Where some matches can be over in seconds others can last over 15-20 minutes depending on where you land on the map but the game does have an addictive quality about it.I found the keys to success in this game is to work out who the best character to play as (my favourites are Lifeline & Bloodhound) work out the best landing places to lot for weapons,shields etc that isn't bombarded by other opponents.What's also key is to co-operate as a squad & not as an individual (which makes the game a lot harder against seasoned players).
Anyone who has played either of the Titanfall games (game makers Respawn made this game as well)will feel at home with this game (particularly when you are not in the giant Mechs) & will recognize some of the weapons.

The only thing I find disappointing about Apex Legends is that there is only one mode of play (the 3 man squad) but I hear that a Duos & Solo mode is in the pipeline but there are additional characters coming out in the next few months.The best thing about the game is that it's free.Overall; A solid online shooter 8/10.

Like Resident Evil 2 Remake absolutely Loved this game a new take on the Resident Evil Franchise you play as Ethan in the first-person perspective as you try to look for Mia his wife in the Baker household as you look for her you come across the Baker Family Members each Terrifying in there own way and try to figure out whats going on. This game has a good story to it and keeps you guessing has to what is going on next and keeps you on the edge of your seat I dont think i have jumped up so many times playing a game mainly from Jack Baker i think they good make a great horror film out of this game.
