Xenon Valkyrie+ Demo Nintendo Switch
Haven’t played Alien Isolation yet...quick question before I do get started on for those who have. How does this game stack up in comparison to Aliens Colonial Marines?
Personally I preferred Colonial Marines.Much more more playable and exciting.

Loved playing that...haven’t heard that many positive reviews for Isolation but I’ll have a crack at it, kill a few hours....burn off some adrenaline, am like a cat on hot bricks at the minute...Christ’s sake!!

Bloody hard work lol.
Alien Isolation a lot harder once you get weapons like the flame gun, shotgun and bolt gun it’s a little easier.
Reflecting back on Aliens/Predator games I really liked Aliens Isolation & there is that sense of fear & paranoia (having to keep looking behind you) where you are effectively powerless (until you get find a flamethower & shotgun halfway through the game) where you come up against rogue drone worker robots & then finally the Alien himself (spoiler alert there is more than one of them in the game) who cannot be killed only subdued. In a game where you have to play hide & seek with the Alien whose unpredictability adds to the tension/fear in the game as you can often hear him/them rattling around in the air vents but never can be sure where he jumps out next where you rely on the bleeping on the motion tracker for solace. Also merely hiding in air vents until the coast is clear doesn't work as he often grabs you (mainly from behind).

Tbh I found Aliens;Colonial Marines to be a big disappointment & I much preferred the Aliens vs Predator on PS3/360 (it's now backward compatible on Xone) although it wasn't a patch on it's original game that came out on PC in 2000 (by far the best Aliens vs Predator game to date).Heck going back to my teenage years I remember playing the excellent Aliens Arcade Game that came out around 1990/91 which was made by Capcom (& was never released on console) set around the second Aliens film where you played Ripley in a side-on shooter where you could use the mechanical suit against the Alien.Alien 3 that came out on the Megadrive & SNES in 1992/93 which was another really good side-on shooter.

Playing the excellent Mortal Kombat XL gives the opportunity for Predator & Alien (both are DLC characters) to fight complete with fatalities.

I'd love to see a publisher/company like Rocksteady (who made the previous Batman Arkham games) do a Predator or Aliens game.
^ oh god I remember Aliens Arcade. That was great fun in my local arcade as a kid.It had some really interesting end of level bosses to defeat. The best Alien vs Predator game for me was the Capcom one from 1994.A simple but effective side scroller.I bought a Pandora Game Box earlier this year just because that was on it.Smile
Purchased a three month online membership for the Nintendo Switch and really enjoying playing the NES a lot of them I never got to play when I was kid due to money. So far really enjoying Gradius, Super Mario Bros my first game I had with NES and the classic Super Mario Bros 3 love the music on that game. Can’t wait try out Dr Mario and Metroid.
Just finished replaying Bioshock Infinite, imo the best game of the series. And started a new play through of Subnautica.
