I'm rarely pleased but naively defensive Big Grin
After reading some favourable reviews by other gamers I decided to take a gamble on Alien Isolation on PS4. Early indications are very promising. It really does have the feel of the original Alien story and it's certainly atmospheric and tense. It is not the sort of game where you run around blasting at anything, in fact I believe you can't actually kill the Alien. Stealth, investigation and a good pair of running shoes are key here and I have to admit I'm finding it surprisingly enjoyable.
So far not met the alien though that hasn't stopped me from expecting the little bugger to leap out of a vent or a doorway. So far the threat seems to be more from several dodgy humans and androids. Edge of the seat game for sure.
currently playing the demo of bayonetta 2
as well as Alien Isolation, enjoying Angry Birds Transformers, a very good mashup of angry birds and transformers in one fun game
Really enjoying Alien Isolation. Really is atospheric and keeps you tense all the time wondering who or what might be lurking around a corner. Like the best horror its more about fear of the unknown. I was playing this in a darkened room when some dvd's slipped over and fell off a shelf with a bang. Nearly jumped out of my skin eek
Playing the evil within, really good game, better than resident evil and the graphics are great, the amount of blood is crazy! Had my head cut off with a chainsaw yesterday!

Its the same guy that did the first 4 Resident Evil games before he left Capcom.
Forza Horizons 2. Great fun and plenty of excellent racing to be had either online or offline. Driveclub take note!

Also still enjoying Alien Isolation:Nostromo edition. Never would have thought a game where you tiptoe around nervously or hide under a trolley holding your breath as the alien walks on by could be so much fun. Very intelligent AI means that make the slightest noise in the gameworld and the Alien, if it is in the vicinity homes in on you. The alien never follows the same routine either so you never know when or where it will pop up. Adds a whole element of tension. Great fun though to throw an object behind other humans and watch as they are attacked by the alien as you scarper for all your worth lol Big Grin A great alternative if you want a game that doesn't rely just on blazing away with big guns.
