In a word no,they have tinkered around with the game with numerous update patches since it's release (they've clearly tried to adjust the game due to complaints) but it's still an absolute mess to play.If you are unfamiliar with the annual Fifa games particularly when playing in Ultimate Team (which is Fifas main trump card, cash cow) then Fifa 18's clear problems don't come apparent until playing a dozen games or so.
The obvious ones are the laggy controls & the poor AI of team-mates where they continuously have the urge to play out of position (leaving your defence short by not tracking back quick enough) as well as continuously running onto offside positions (even when you instruct them not to). When playing passes to team-mates their responses are terribly slow & at times just as you execute a pass they move position so passes end up missing the target. The dodgy refereeing decisions in the game would even have a nun swearing at the screen.

Fifa 18 is in the fag-end of it's shelf-life before 19 is out but with a majority of the football seasons having wound-up now the games updates/challenges have slowed right up.After buying the usual annual Fifa games for me Fifa 14 still stands up to being the best Fifa game over the years since then they have got progressively worse.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection - Nintendo Switch

Battlefield Hardline - PS4
the last PES I ever touched was PES 16 I am in two minds now as to whether to go for PES18 or not. I have to agree, FIFA 14 was the best they ever did and they should have stopped at that and offered the incarnations of the game for the last few years as free seasonal updates to d/load into that model, why they never went that route is beyond me. Same goes for PES too.

For me PC users have left with little output of sports games. There are some great racing games on Steam but when it comes to sports like NFL, hockey or boxing and rugby (both codes) & golf, there is little. To me EA sports was the one we could rely on to bring out great sports games. there are some great companies out there who are making the games, but never have managed to equal they way EA did it in the past. What i would really like
EA to do now is give Pc users the opportunity to savour what console players have enjoyed with Madden and NHL as we have not had anything on those games on PC for a long time.

Of the 2 games PES 2018 plays the better game of football but Fifa 18 has far more game modes so combining the 2 games would be the perfect footie game. It's pretty well documented that PES 2018 doesn't have official teams, football grounds or kits (which can be rectified by editing them or downloading unofficial patches available from various websites) which does put a lot of people off the game & in truth is a ball-ache.The lack of game modes compared to Fifa 2018 is a bit of a turn-off as well the gaming servers for PES 2018 are terrible (a lot worse than Fifa 18).I bought both games when they both came out in September last year but come November I got rid of PES 2018 but only kept hold of Fifa 18 when I heard the game was going to have the World Cup 2018 as a free update.

If was to give advice I'd steer clear of both games this time round as both new versions of each game are out in a few short months (Sep 2018).Both games usually bring out demo versions in August to get an idea of how their games are.
God of War Ascension PS3

Bit of a way into the game and to be honest a little disappointed with it.
