I can't understand why channels 908 & 909 have been removed for a cable fault?
Do these channels need to see a signal or they switch themselves off?
906 didn't switch off. Seems a bit odd to me, where is Jesse Ventura when you need him ?
^^ Surely channels are only removed from the $ky EPG if either the real owner loses its broadcasting licence or EPG fees are not paid or both. I seem to recall that 906 has a different licence(Dutch ?) to the others.
Now my understanding of how things work is thus. The channel creates the picture and sends it to a third party eg Firestorm. From there it is fed to the web or sent on for upload to the Astra/Freesat satellite. I certainly do not think that either service uploads direct to the satellite. The only situation why both services could be affected like this - and other services are also down - if this 'cable' that is broken is from a third-party to the uplink station.
or they haven't renewed it or move it to a different licence which is unobtainable on FV

If it was there would be a free to view webshow alternative, which there isn’t unlike with studio66. It’s funny that with all these so called issues there pervcam doesn’t seem to be affected??
pervcams are hosted on a different server to the normal channels mate.
it was only the fta channels that were affected but hey the fta streams seem to be online now (at least on the web)
I know that. I was simply stating that if anything has to “mysteriously brake” why does it have to be the “free” part. Guaranteed they’d have fixed the pervcam issues ASAP.
