Geography, but it's never stopped people believing or exploiting the homonym that implies superiority of character.

Unemployment continues to rise as does the flood of unskilled immigrants coming into our country thus depriving the average British man of a job. The UK Government promotes cheap labour. That halfwit Blair started this and Cameron and Clegg are carrying on the torch.

This problem is not unique to Britain, or Scotland. It's a pan-European problem. Unskilled workers are flooding into Europe from third-world countries almost at the behest of the pro-European unelected commissioners. An 'independent' Scotland that remains within the EU would still be required, under free work passage, to continue to permit unskilled third-world people in.
After Obama, the Pope has chosen to stick his oar in now, by saying he fears that Scotland may be wanting independence for the wrong reasons. He says he understands why Yugoslavia wanted to split up but not the UK.
Now who does that leave to have a say, we haven't heard Lady Gaga's views yet.
But the 'yes' camp have Sean Connery, and even the Pope & Obama can't compete with him.. Rolleyes

It's interesting that his son Jason is still sat on the fence regarding spliting from the UK
What about Andy Murray?
After what happened over with his Anyone but England quote he has learned to be cautious with his views.

J K Rowling made the biggest impact for the Better Together campaign

He's not been cautious with his views. He's against Scottish independence.

What's it got to do with J K Rowling anyway? She's not even Scottish.
Shes married to a scot and lived in Edinbrugh for over 20 years more than sean connery has BounceBounce so if you do go independant she will Proberly be the richest women in scotland Wink

had to laugh the other day the Sun tracked down the twitter trolls of hers and most of them lived south of the border
North Sea oil in numbers

40bn barrels extracted
24bn could remain

30-40 years of production remaining

£57bn tax revenue by 2018
(£35bn when factoring-in the currently predicted 38% fall in revenue by 2017-18).

If Scotland's share of national debt is a minimum of £56bn she as good as won't be making any money from the North Sea 'cash-cow' for 4-7 years after the start of independence leaving potentially just 23-33 years of production left before the supplies are exhausted (all if independence took immediate effect, which of course it won't).

The longer Scotland takes to become independent the less time she has left to make money from it's share of the oil fields. It is believed that it would take 18months up to two years to transition to independence thus leaving even less time for Scotland to make money from oil sales.

Here is an interesting article (link below) that suggests as to what might happen following a 'yes' vote;

A bankrupt economy, North Sea oil rights sold to China and Shetlanders defecting to Norway. What if Scotland DID go it alone?

Enjoy!
