No I insist. You can also take Osbourne too as an honoury Scot but you must keep them locked up in Edinburgh castle...or even better strap them to that cannon just before it goes off. Far too dangerous and zealous to be left in charge of things south of the border

Ah well now, that's different! If we're talking executions, we'll gladly take them off you. Always happy to lend a hand...or a knife, gun, spear, etc

It doesn't matter whether it's 55 or 100 Scottish citizens will not receive the same level of help and support abroad as they do now, without some sort of agreement with the Westminster government.
OK I accept that you can widen the discussion. But the Irish Embassy in Argentina also looks after matters in Paraguay. If that works well enough for Ireland why wouldn't it work for Scotland?
It may work well enough, or it may be that's all they're used to. You'd need to ask Irish travellers what they thought.
For Scottish citizens, though, going from 240 embassies (or similar) down to 100 is a reduction in coverage, worldwide. Unless Salmond's going to issue each embassy with it's own Tardis.
If Scotland became independent, there's no reason 2 neighbouring countries with a common language (we'll have the jokes later folks
), common religion(s), ideals and culture couldn't have an agreement which benefited the citizens of
both countries, abroad.
No reason other than the pigheadedness of the politicians involved, that is.

.........hang on, that sounds familiar..........
Maybe they should delay Referendum until after next Westminister election because if Milliband and Balls are running the country, I wouldn't want to live in a country that had those two in charge!
I vote Labour and even I have to agree with that it will be like dumb and dumber!

i get the feeling if they do get in and you lot vote for independence you might be getting a lot of english immigrants coming to live in scotland
i better get used to the taste of porridge and iron bru now
mind u if you vote yes less likely to be a Labour goverment because all of the scottish mp's would be gone from here and as there are less conservative mp's than panda's at edinburgh zoo it aids the tories that labour seats will be wiped out
and as 11 of the lib dem seats are in scotland as well they would be decimated as well
but this could turn into chaos
