Ep 7 “Unification III” Season 3

A great follow up to Unification Part I & II from Stat Trek The Next Generation Season 5.
I’ll start off with the bad first the story arc involving Tilly made no sense in my opinion especially with the Star Trek history involving that plot device.
It was great follow to the next gen Ep it really felt like classic Star Trek, the surprise for Burnham was great am hoping finally they push her character forward rather then backwards.
The reference to the two Star Trek characters was great with the footage and name call.
One of black boxes was made after a particular Star Trek actor that tragically died using there surname which was a nice touch. I love how season 3 had been honouring actors, characters and starships.
The show just gets worse and worse, i thought voyager was bad but this is just atrocious.
^^^ don’t watch it then it’s not gonna get any better for you.
I watch in the hope it will get better but with the expectation that it will get worse. And as for honouring previous seasons it simply reminds fans of just how good those seasons were and just how bad discovery is.
The casting department must have been on LSD when they gave Michelle Yeoh her role. She's a terrible actor.
I don't think she's terrible, but her character is just annoying now, she's unnecessary and frankly the sooner they get rid, the better imo.

Giving her the two episode arc will hopefully conclude her story, because they have plenty of other things they could be getting on with.
The concluding of her story ain’t happening. If a show is that bad simply don’t watch it any more. It’s been three seasons now it’s not miraculously gonna change into totally show and it’s the same with any other show.
Star Trek went downhill after DS9 simply because they kept repeating the same stories and developing all the characters it started in Voyager and Enterprise were they developed some of the characters and others they just left them underdeveloped this never happened in Next Gen and DS9. The only two issues I have with Discovery is the pacing and again they don’t develop the other back ground characters the other bridge crew we know fuck all about them other then three or four they always focus on.
I didn't say the show was bad, disliking one character is perfectly reasonable. I stand by my opinion of Georgiou, I still like the actress though.
I agree, they really should flesh out the bridge crew more, maybe if they stopped wasting so much screen time on a Georgiou, they could Tongue lol.
^^^ I never said the post was about you or even mention any names.
I always like a Mirror Universe romp and quite enjoyed this one but felt a two parter to write out a not universable lovable character was a bit much. Time better spent further exploring the current 32nd century storyline. I hope the full reveal of the Burn moves the stakes up big time, with maybe the reveal of a proper big bad, as things just feel a bit small scale at the moment for such a big jump into the future.

I liked the dark mode version of the title sequence to highlight the mirror universe. I actually think it looked better than the usual one. Reminded me of Star Trek:Enterprise using an alternative title sequence for their mirror universe two parter (now that really was fun).
