S2 ep7 “Light & Shadows”

The halfway point of s2 sees the search for the spock conclude whilst the discovery investigates a temporal anomaly both of which see developments in regards to the red angel. Section 31 are back too & an Easter egg for Star Trek III: The Search For Spock
Ep 8 “If Memory Serves” Season 2

Quite possibly the best Ep of Season 2 and even Season 1 there so much to take in. Firstly how the Ep starts up it’s very familiar almost original Stat Trek but isn’t when you see the footage the only clue I can give is Talos IV and the transition shoot was done very well. You finally get a explanation with what’s going on with Spock and why he his different in the original series also as to why the Red Angel is helping the bigger question tho is who the Red Angel is and why Section 31 want Spock so badly again some of it is explained in flashbacks. Also Hugh confronting Tyler which we all knew was gonna happen. What I did love about the Ep was it felt like a certain Ep and before the events of two part Ep which is gonna happen in the original series.
Anson Mount as Captain Pike in this Ep was great he really put in a heart warming performance again when you see why you’ll understand along with actress Melissa George with familar character she’s having to play fantastic performance, this Ep was a love letter to original Star Trek fans. One finally thing when ever someone tries to mess around the timeline good or bad it’s never a good thing lol.
S2 ep8 “If Memory Serves”

A fantastic episode that ties into the pilot episode of the original Star Trek series from the 1960’s that had Captain Pike as captain of the USS Enterprise.

More is revealed about Spock’s realationship with the Red Angel & Burnham sees why Spock is behaving and acting as he is. Also developments happen between Stamets & Culber and Section 31 are up to no good behind pike’s back
Forgot mention keep a ear out for the old school sound effects and also the ending.
Yeah this was a really good episode and it is certainly building excitement. The point that has been made and I will reiterate is just how good the acting is in the series. Whether it's Michael and Saru over his death or Mount in this episode it has been excellent. For me Sonequa Martin Green is the highlight of the cast, not just for her portrayal of the deep and complex Michael Burnham but the fact she manages to have such great chemistry between so many other actors: Michael/Pike, Michael/Saru, Michael/Tilly, Michael/Tyler Michael/Georgiou, Michael/Lorca, Michael/Sarek, Michael/Amanda have all been really good and Michael/Spok will no doubt follow to a same high standard.

Ep 9 “Project Daedalus” Season 2

What a moving Ep we found out the back story on Airiam which was very sad when you found out that what happened to her which led to how she is now there’s even a link with her and future of Captain Pike. A lot of her story in this Ep reminded me of Data in Star Trek The Generation and you found out what she really is and it’s what you think. You found out who the traitor is which if you’ve seen last weeks Ep then you’ll who it is.
There’s also the conflict between Spock and Michael to which both make very good points.
There is the focus on Section 31 and there is a very nasty twist and as for the ending there is a very sad ending which I didn’t see coming.
Watch out for the silent credit ending.

S2 ep9 “Project Daedalus”

A very emotional & very moving episode largely focused on Airiam & over the episode her backstory is revealed which as Kal-El has said is very sad. As well as Airiam, the traitor on board the discovery is revealed, Spock & Burnham clash & Admiral Cornwell is back with a secret mission for Discovery

Tissues will be needed for the incredibly sad & very emotional gutwrenching ending

I love this show so fucking much. This season has been so good, that ending, I did not cry but I could feel my eyes start to twitch in their sockets which is about as close as I have got for some time. The last line was a low fucking blow right in the feels. I liked that it ended the way it did though, after they got The Doc out the network when it seemed impossible I really did not want another round of last minute heroics.

I agree that the scene with Michael and Spock was really well done as well as at the end when he appears on the Bridge and speaks to her over the comms. The acting continues to be brilliant
