Ep 13 “Such Sweet Sorrow” Season 2

Thought it was a ok Ep, first of all I thought the stuff that happened at the start of Ep I found very predictable and obvious. It was nice seeing the bridge of the Enterprise. There is a twist regarding Burnham which was quite clever through in a little time travel and it’s sets up the season finale the 2nd parter next week. I did notice some plot holes how two people who I won’t spoil got onboard Discovery especially with control having ships every where.
The actress who originally played Airiam is now playing a new bridge officer replacing Airiam as she’s dead and Sonequa Martin-Green who plays Burnham her performance was great.
Ep 14 “ Such Sweet Sorrow” Part 2 Season 2 Finale

Picks up right from the end of the first part they really must have poured out there budget for this second part because it goes all out with action and special effects. Also the Ep is longer then usually with a run time of over a hour and 5 mins.
It’s a race against time the crew of both Discovery and the Enterprise trying to stop control obtaining the information there’s sacrifices and allies along the way and with signals that have appeared throughout season 2 are all explained and make sense. The only minor grip I did have was with Spock explaining about time which doesn’t make sense especially with Pikes future fate which cannot be changed. Also there some emotional scenes with certain characters throughout the Ep which was very heart felt.
They do a good job with explaining and fitting in with Star Trek timeline let’s just say that everything makes sense except for the technology. I did notice in parts similar things in the movies Star Trek IV The Voyage Home And Star Trek Generations. Michelle Yeoh as Georgiou gets her moment to shine and you clear see especially with the last scene that she was having fun by her reaction.
With Discovery free from its shackles Season 3 is gonna very interesting where the future goes from there and no joke intended lol. As for why in season 2 Burnham kept being saved by the Red Angel there’s a twist regarding that let’s just say you it and and the events of season 2 from another perspective. As for Spock let’s just he looks almost the spitting image of the Leonard Nimoy Spock. Also keep ear out the end credit theme which will sound very familiar.
^^^ forgot to mention that it does tie into one of the Star Trek Shorts Eps.
Got reply from Actor Wilson Cruz who plays Dr Hugh Culber really nice guy and appreciative of the fans of the show.

David Ajala, best known to me and no doubt others here as Manchester Black from Supergirl, has joined the cast of season 3

Star Trek Shorts gets a poster
E4 have got the rights to air the series from 2020. The seasons will still appear first on Netflix followed by E4 at a later date.
After studying and deciphering the Xmas TV rag, it suggests that E4 will begin with Season 1, Episode 1 of Disco. Next Sunday (the 15th) at 9pm.

Hopefully they won't fuck it up by cutting out the swearing from certain episodes, like ITV probably would.
