These are just some instances off the top of my head there were undoubtedly more, what's interesting is that if any of these storylines were done today in Discovery or Doctor Who they would be branded as too PC, woke, new age and TNG was doing them 30 yrs ago back when millennials were still being born

All that you say is eminently reasonable. BUT you are omitting any feeling of context in your summary. Your thorough knowledge of TNG has allowed you to pull together a handful of its relevant episodes from across seven seasons ... In a comparison with Chibnall's Who, for instance, the problem is not that the latter displays like elements that are socially aware but that it wont freakin' STOP doing it! Every episode of the last two season's could easily feature in a similiar round up for that show! That is pure lecturing of the audience. (And that has surely had a hand in damaging the show's viewing figures.)

The difference is the makers of TNG were fully aware of the tolerance of their viewers and had the humility to admit they needed to foreground the show's entertainment values in order to get their occasional messages across as necessary. In contrast Chibnall seems to have taken the show on only on the basis that it allows him to be socially manipulative. He continually puts his agendas ahead of providing the kind of entertaining escapism a good section of his audience evidentally want their show to be. (Once in the wild any franchise belongs to its audience as much as it does to its makers. It must continue to please enough of its fanbase in order to justify its ongoing existence. Viewers are the ultimate arbiters of any success. No critical analysis can avoid that conclusion. After all, if only a few people remain to listen to Chibs how successful can his use of messages be judged to be?)
