For one thing, the programme makers can probably show penises if need be because they and Ofcom know that women viewers aren't going to mentally switch off from taking on board issues that trashy programmes like Generation Sex are trying to raise awareness of on the side in order to think about masturbating the minute a nude cock is shown on screen! Fair enough. You're personally not bothered about seeing vaginas on these shows. Why don't you campaign to have the penises removed rather than campaigning to have vaginas featured, then? Suggest substituting diagrams or something! I'm certain women aren't bothered about seeing penises on these programmes, either (remove them and see how many complaints you get).

Good point but its swings and roundabouts. Leave something out and people will say "Im not signing that, its not got my favourite in it". Have 4 different petitions and each will get a low number of votes. Not perfect but spending a month getting the wording right would only have delayed things.
