We regularly hear about this word "watershed"......Its not really of relevence these days!! It's not like we are gunna see hardcore sex come on our screens after 9 o'clock is it peeps??? The whole agenda here is just to give peolpe a choice.....the content should always be as its meant to be and our children come first regarding the viewing of anything deemed to be offensive (Hardcore Porn Etc..)..As long as there are special requirements e.g a pin number or security to view such material surely we can sleep easily in our beds??? I for One agree that we should not be chastised regarding our viewing options....So OfCom give us our freedom of choice..PLEASE!!!!

I quite agree, SKY TV at least have given us the choice to block these channels, and it's up to the parents to implement this. At the end of the day Ofcom are acting like a Dictatorship telling us what is suitable to watch in our own homes, and this is ware I draw the line on.
If I want to watch naked woman on my TV screen at midnight being full frontal nude then I'm in my democratic rights to do so, it's that simple.
Ofcoms recent guidance on pre/post watershed viewing is supposed to have taken account of the Bailey Review. I cant help suspecting that asking the head of the Mothers Union to write a report was guaranteed not to result in a call for deregulation. You might as well ask Greenpeace to write a report on the economic benefits of onshore oil extraction (fracking). Try as they might to be impartial the result would tend in a certain direction.
Of course this could be terrribly unfair, I havent actualy read the Bailey Report - has anyone out there read it? What was it like?

Agree 100% but, unfortuntely, Ofcon do not. They are an organisation on a mission. Regardless of what the broadcasting code says, they choose to interperate it to suit themselves. Power corrrupts and all that......................
Whilst they remain, we do not have a chance of greater explicitness for adults who want to watch such programmes.

Yes they did but their reason given in the code for the censoring of R18 material is solely the protection of children, yet Chris Woolard who is a senior figure at Ofcon, stated recently that R18 was "inappropriate content". He did not mention anything about child protection when talking about R18, so all he stuff about PIN protection was just a load of bollox from them.
We know that they do not want it on TV and we will not get it whilst Ofcon are there. Everything else is then watered down to suit their prejudices.
Has anybody seen the show's tonight, they are a fucking joke, Friday night and we're subjected to this torture, 286 votes so far but surely to fuck if all the members signed the petition that figure would go through the roof, if you give a fuck about the state of the channels then please vote because they are that bad tonight they'd aswell as not being on. fucking shit models and shit shows galore.
I agree. Pretty dire on all channels tonight. All because Ofcom thinks vaginas are dangerous, even though they are a normal body part. I think from now on, the women should buy fake vaginas and wear them during their sessions, that way we can see something close to what a real 18 rated channel would offer.
