Addison I don't think you realise the gravity of the situation, we're not expecting R18 hardcore shows on each channel as I doubt every model would be party to it, like everything you will get hard, warm and soft models and that won't change, also if you call into the show I'm sure any of the models would happily carry out any desire that you wish within their own limitations of what they are prepared to do or show. We will still get the dull nights and the good nights, some things will never change, just to make you aware Addision since the start of this year we have lost Bangbabes and now also 908, 949 and 952 have been removed from the SKY EPG, this petition is more about protecting the babe channels and allowing them to work without Ofcom unrealistic constraints put upon them, that's what this petition has only ever been about, the type of show's that you like to see will not exist because Ofcom are hellbent on closing the lot down and are relentless and will not stop until they have completed their mission almost like a Terminator. That is precisely why we are asking people to sign the petition, it's more than just allowing for a frenzy of hardcore dildo shows on every channel which just wouldn't be the case, it's about allowing for freedom of choice and for Ofcom to back off in order to offer these shows long term prosperity.
I think the reason for the low response is a combination of inertia (not quite laziness, just thoughtlessness) and a sense of the futility of the petition.
I actually share that sense of futility, but weigh it against the actual cost of signing (as Winsaw said, 5 minutes of your time) and what is there to lose? Plus a sense of 'well if it fails it's not because of me' hehe.
I would encourage anyone to sign, even if you don't quite fully support all the reasons that others are signing it for, and see where it leads.
At the end of the day, it's better to do something than nothing, I no there might be some scepticism among you, but if you care about your Babe channels, and your rights, then everyone should get behind the petition and SIGN IT, it's that simple
I have emailed channel 5 twice this week already with complaints over big brother,,they have shown 4 different blokes with their penises out and lots of times in the shows but not one vagina..I have emailed ofcom about this sexism..I will retweet the petition at 7pm tonight..So yet gain it boils my piss that women can tune into UK tv and see penises and men can tune in and see NO vaginas..I mean come on how bloody sexist is that and i and getting to a point of really using nasty language in my emails to get a response.Cant stand this i am sick to back sodding teeth of this sexist stuff right in my face,now,everyday.

Having watched big brother a little I suppose there is a legitimate difference here in that the blokes have been a bit more exhibitionist about their penises, quite willingly so for a laugh, but the girls have been pretty reserved and careful, not even showing boobs. I doubt if big brother even has any shots of vaginas, and if they do they probably wouldnt have any context of conversations. Would seem a little too purely sexually voyueristic to show a clip of a girl changing in the toilets or something.
Previous years have been very different, sometimes with the girls more outgoing about nudity. I do remember a year where this cute blonde girl used to regularly streak down the garden at nights, and also cleanse her face topless before bed, mmmm.

Reading through that mediawatch website I was concerned that they would have a section on the babechannels, but thankfully they seem almost oblivious to it (unless I missed it), think there is only one article on TV and porn from 2004. I could easily imagine that lot getting on Ofcom's case and really setting the babechannels alot of damage.
Uhh I dont think you persuaded too many on that film review for the equality of display for penises/vaginas hehe. I see the disparity in principle but wouldnt feel any sense of being put out about it, until perhaps we see the effect on the babechannels, as used for a 'masturbatory aid' (to quote mediawatch lol).
Ps - I suspect we may have fuelled a bit of a tangent from the actual petition. I'm happy if the last few posts get moved to the disparity between mainstream and babechannel tv thread or somewhere.

I have removed the mediawatch site from my post but maybe i am in the wrong forum..I am just getting used to the layout as all my past rants have been emails or actual written letters before internet arrived..I dont have the money to do what i want to do but at least i am doing something.One of my emails did something on Big brother because Emma Willis said "this video exerpt contains male genatalia (huge angry face) and yes we have had out lawyers onto us" as she mimicked a telephone..I suppose that could have been a set up but something stirred something

Now on channel 4 there is programme called the joy teen sex, I've just seen an 18 yr old getting her vagina examined, i no this is not for sexual pleasure, however ofcom seem to allow a vagina to be shown for these reasons, and yet for specific Adult channels they deem the vagina is offensive?? and the reason for this is because it's for sexual pleasure? well DERHHH, ultimately that's the primary purpose isn't it
