This is without doubt the most distressing story I've ever read in a newspaper or seen on the news. This bitch Louise Porton killed her two lovely daughters Scarlett and Lexie because "they got in the way of her sex life" what sort of person does that, kills their daughters because they've stopped them from enjoying their sex life, doing what they want, with whom they want, when they want. People like that shouldn't be allow to have children. It is sickening and horrible that someone could arrange sex online for money whilst one daughter is ill. 32 yrs minimum she has been jailed for, how is that a life sentence. I've never been in favour of the death penalty( in whatever form it would come in) but for this sort of crime I'd be in favour. That woman should not be allowed out for the rest of her miserable life. I hope she rots in hell.!!annoyedannoyedannoyedannoyedannoyedannoyed

Whaley Bridge dam is being shored up with bags and bags of aggregate and other buidling materials in a desperate attempt to stop the dam bursting and threatening a nearby village in North Yorkshire. Chinnook helicopters have dropping bags onto the part of the dam that is in danger every 10 minutes. This was due to the heavy rain they've had in the past couple of days.
Double shooting in the USA. First El Paso, Texas where a gunman went on a shooting spree at a Walmart supermarket where 27 were injured and another 20 people killed.Elsewhere in Dayton, Ohio another shooting incident where 9 people were killed including the gunman(shot dead by police) and his sister. What is it going to take to do something about their gun laws out there. The N.R.A(National Rifle Association). who backed President Trump who is pro-gun always point to their right to bear arms in the Constitution(which should have been amended years ago).

What will it take? the President being shot OR a member of the N.R.A.'s family before they listen to anyone and actually do something. What was the motive? The first one was 21yr old Patrick Causious, who you won't be surprised to learn was a White Supremacist that had posted a manifesto online. He could face the death penalty for "domestic terrorism."
People talk about the gun debate in The US. There is no gun debate, the debate finished with Sandy Hook. That was the turning point, once The US decided that it could bear 20 children at the ages of 6 & 7 being turned into confetti by automatic rifle it was over.
The violence and protests continue into a 12th week in Hong Kong but the root cause of their annoyance, Carrie Lam, just won't do the decent thing and step down. Partly because Beijing won't let her go, they are too stupid and stubborn to realise it was she who started all this and it would end if she went but they seem to think she is doing a good job-good luck with convincing others of that.
It's not just that, Xi Jinping & The Communist Party are in between a rock and a hard place in this one. As the saying goes that which does not bend will break, however if they do yield then they will have set a precedent and provide a blue print for success to pro democracy/independence movements that could spring up in Tibet, Macau or any of the 23 provinces
I think the longer this goes on the more likely it is that it will end up with Chinese military on the streets of HK, then we should sit back and see the powder keg really blow open!!
The Pope was late for his speech to the people this morning. Apparently he had been stuck in a lift -so how did he manage to get out divine intervention? No! They called the fire brigade to get him out and when he made it to the window he called for a round of appause. Well they do say confession is good for the soul Big Grin
No "Hand of God" then when he needed it!!
